Its really tough for them to play outside of CIS. At least they are qualifying and getting experience. It could be way worse. I agree, they have to expand their hero pools. Dendi on the bright side is farming a lot better than before, for an "old" player its kind of impressive.

I'm OK. You don't win every game. What matters is you show character in your games. I think they are showing that they are not pushovers. Questionable drafting but overall confident that they can grow.

I think crystalize needs to improve though in terms of hero pool.

so does dendi though, he can only play qop and lina decently well

Dendi needs to improve his midgame first and foremost. Every game he has a good or even very good early game and throws it all away with weird positioning.

Honestly, that's less on Dendi and more on the support play. Like it's incredibly dumb that the matches they lost against both mineski and thunder can be basically be boiled down to ganks from poor warding.

Vision is a big problem and Crystallize got stranded on an island. To their credit, they played better this time around when that happened. But they need to fix that.

Important is that they realize what must be changed/improved and work on that. They lack, as always, a great captain but they look pretty good for not having one. As long as they don't lose heart they will keep getting better.
The scene has gotten really hard these last few years. They need to keep playing against teams from other regions even if they lose.

Edit: Do not forget that NaVi getting 0 points in Minors/Majors means NaVi is in the same situation as always: waiting for the TI8 quals to get there the usual way.

Warding is a huge issue for Navi from what I can see. Navi lacks that true position 5 who can take a step back and not worry about scoring kills for the team, but instead looking at the map and identifying the risks. I find both of Navi support to be great at ganking and team fight but fail to play the true "support" role.

Team has potential, took off game from Mineski, just have to play consistent. If they can play to their peak, I feel like they can qualify for Dreamleague major and get Top 4. Now they just have to do it. It's just frustrating for them not to play up to their potential all the time.

I have the same thoughts. Sonneiko seems to be unable to play the true 5. It almost seems like he is pressured to make things happen.

And I think his skillset and age do not suit a true 5 role either. Most successful true 5 that I know are generally more mature (i.e older) like Kuro, PPD or (recent) Puppey and so on. He's too young and hot blooded to not try and make play. A typical Navi loss is follow:
1. Opponent drafts a safe & objective-based line up
2a. Navi supports try to make play with their aggression and end up feeding too many kills or leave their cores unguarded and counter-ganked which leads to losing towers/buildings
or
2b. Navi supports can't play aggressively and are left dumbfounded because they have no idea what to do next, where to ward, when to check Roshan .etc
3. Navi loses

Edit: I'm not saying their supports are the only problem but in my view having a working support duo is 60-70% of a team's success. Even if you could replace Dendi with Sumail I don't think their results would be much different.

When I think of strategy-minded 5, I think of Wisp players, and Sonneiko at any rate used to be good at relocating people around fights for strategic advantage.

I wish for better warding and I wish Dendi didn't need quite so much assistance in lane. I get why they lane swap the sides but wonder if it happens too often.

Hoping Dendi can start dominating mid lanes again with his denies I remember he would sometimes have games where he'd be 40/30 and a good 1.5 levels ahead of the other midlaner

well the mid match up is no longer the traditional 1v1 like we used to know

i find mid match up nowadays relies less on the actual mid player doing well (apart from farming of course) but more on the support creating enough space and making room for the mid player to farm and grow..

pos 2 used to define if a team wins or loses, it is now pos 4 from what i've experienced...

With the 7.07 change back to one less creep, hopefully we see less dual mids as it might starve the mid's experience gain. That on top of the deny experience being much more punishing might change how viable dual mids are. Unless it exacerbates the problem and the mid lane becomes a deny-fest. :/

But yeah I agree the pos 4's really need to step it up in 706. But then again, Dendi should be used to other supports pressuring him, as it's been the case forever. (probably a little less so from ti4 to ti6)

Na'Vi actually acting as a team, good decision making, they don't lose control because they lost lanes. gj!

What makes you say that? Think he's just fairly introverted / not used to being interviewed so the answers are quite stifled.

He doesn't like this hero, he won't play that hero. Kind of bad attitude for a player who clearly has a small hero pool and should work on it.

We went 1-1 with Liquid in dreamleague, so our chances of qualifying for the major are excellent.

They only need to win two games to get to the Major.

If I don't suck at math (which is possible) they need to win 3 maps and one of them has to be against og to be sure. If they go 0:2 vs OG, 2:0 vs MoF and 1:1 vs VP and OG 2:0s MoF, then navi either goes down (if they count head to head) or they have a tiebreaker with OG.

Yea, I just believe OG and MoF will lose some other games. As long as NaVi wins two games, the others teams have to have an outstanding performance for what is left for NaVi to end up out.
