long interview with XBOCT, Sheaves on reddit translated most of it, here are some points related to Empire

Kick from Empire:

Team decided to get a rest during Shanghai Major (due to lack of opponents for training)
Xboct was in Egypt with his friends when he was told about the kick
First if was Funn1k who contacted him and told about the possibility of the kick
Korb3n (Empire dota2 squad manager) informed Xboct about the kick while apologizing and claiming he didn't see it coming
StrangeR (Empire director) also tried to call Xboct but skype conversation didn't happen due to internet problems
Xboct mentions the only episode when team confronted him about having a small offlane hero pools. It happened about 2 weeks after he took the offlane role. Xboct admitted the fact and said he was going to learn more heroes with time
Xboct admits to not being able to play Nature's Propnet or Broodmother professionally and claims that he can play Lone Druid, but the team as a whole didn't know how to play with it so they decided not to
Xboct basically told teammates "either you play with some friends, no problems, or we keep trying and see how it goes" and they were willing to keep trying. Since then Empire won 3 key series and lost one

Future of team Empire and Xboct's opinion on players and scene:

Ramzes666 will probably still join Empire later (after dotaPit), Ghostik is a stand-in
NOFEAR is the only one who Xboct really didn't like at all and he doesn't see Nofear as a good leader in the future. Hard to translate, but Xboct says NOFEAR is "slightly moronic, to put it lightly".
Alohadance will be just fine when he grows up a little and gets more experience
Fn is a great guy, pleasant to play and communicate with, although not without his own quirks
Most problems are caused by players being really yound and not mature enough, not in game but in life
Xboct himself admits to possibly being like that earlier but he was lucky enough to join Na`Vi, a team with 4 great players, and said he was willing to learn (admitting he was behind in macro, thinking, decision-making and experience why being roughly on the same level skill-wise). On the contrast, young players today consider themselves already on top and aren't that willing to learn
Empire players aren't serious enough and are often just laughing/joking during draft and don't contribute much
Xboct wishes them luck going forward

thanks bro, I missed this. always cool hearing some stuff from "inside the scene".

havent really been impressed by nofears play, hearing this from xboct makes the switch on vp even more strange, moving lil down, to make room for nofear ><

I miss empire tho... hoping they can come back with a strong squad... I really liked parts of theier play with fn! he seemed really good to me.

Pretty sad to see them in such a state. Hopefully next shuffle reinvigorates them as it did before, as it stands I dont see them having success with this roster, even if skill-wise they are all certainly capable.
