Still 4-1 would be solid. 5-0 would have been such a good place to be with the matches to come tomorrow.

C9 defeated themselves against mouz tbh. Gogo C9 win a lot day 2 as well. Top 8 here we go. Would be hilarious if they get 2nd in TI, true kings of 2nd.

I think a lot of stuff went wrong in the mouz game that was just slightly poor play from c9 and mouz was in position to take advantage of it. Starting already from the first blood on Sing, which could have been easily avoided, some random occasions where Aui went to check the rune without vision only for Fata to be there and get really fed with his Viper, and EE getting caught by several mouz players when he went for a rune. Stuff like that can have a big impact in how the game snowballs in the favor of mouz. I don't think all of it was even due to mouz playing so aggressive, but c9 just being a bit careless when they didn't know where mouz players were. Although I wasn't one of the people predicting mouz for a top placing, I think it's relatively surprising that they lost to all of VG, Empire and NaVi consecutively. Whether they get to the main event is questionable, but I think their aggressive play might get them wins even over the top contenders in a bo1. I don't think c9 will be the only team they beat.

Zeus just has terrible mobility and horrendous range/attack animation for a mid hero, and gets jumped on way too easily. Combine that with the fact that he needs to stay alive through the fight for his damage to stack up through static field and arc lightning, it means that pro teams immediately jump on him to prevent him from whittling them down. Also mouz made the smart decision of going for a pipe effectively neutering a lot of his damage. He had almost 0 impact that game.

Sure but there was a lot more going wrong in that game than just the hero pick. I don't think there were even all that many times when mouz managed to jump Sing, but mouz were just incredibly fat from kills that ended up happening for various reasons that c9 couldn't really get kills with Void+NP+Zeus. But stuff happens, a team would have to play extremely well and also get pretty lucky not to lose a single game in this group stage.
