But since then the team has only really been challenged once, against Liquid, and they did not rise to that challenge. The rest of their games have been against tier 2 teams. Implying Liquid is a T1 team. ![]()

rarely do you ever get a fluke win against the best teams in a b05 (i feel like that's not even possible idk) it's just for the meantime anyways while OG still sit at the top~ish

Most of the people just sit around playing Melee and Mario Kart when matches aren't going on. feels so uninspired. Not to mention that the rest of the people are busy sulking over losses or preparing for their next matches, so the only people actually servicing us viewers are the usual boring cast being their usual boring selves. It ends up being just another event most of the time. The chill and fun is replaced with what looks like a really low budget and disorganized lan instead. I'm not trying to /demand/ that players give us the time of their day or whatever. But man, it just ends up being kinda, well, lame. And I can't say I'm surprised that they're pointing their fingers everywhere except at themselves over the decrease in funding this year, it's exactly the attitude I expect from BTS nowadays, sadly. So here's hoping there's some really fucking good Dota 2 played to make up for this shit at least. Go go Team Liquid, you already got one in the bag time for another! I dunno, Summit 2 (i think) had the wonderful kitten camera, Great player casting (especially the famous "so smart" cast by Notail and friends, followed by getting their asses handed to then by the people they ribbed) and good fun with the non-dota games. So in my opinion they *can* do it well.

i agree with what dysisa says but i think the problem lies with bts not really understanding what they want to do there. the casting for example is what every bts casting looks like, there is nothing special or unique about it and they are not having fun conversations in between games. the DAC casting by them which was somewhat influenced by bruno being there had a completely different tone and would have been much more fitting to a summit style event. i mean, look at this beautiful horse: https://i.ytimg.com/vi/kGH-37yCoK8/maxresdefault.jpg i think that bts doesnt have the personnel to make an event like they want to do because they need someone who can lead a conversation in a fun and entertaining but at the same time very natural way. not many people can do this and sadly none are working at bts. kotlguy for example always looks extremely artificial on camera and while that works for interviews or as a host, it just falls flat on its face when it wants to create something informal. this year they improved a lot on this with the addition of siractionslacks (was there the last few times as well but was given less camera time). but yesterday it still felt like a normal studio lan just casted from someones living room. that might be an upgrade we have from the bedroom casting we had in 2012 but its nowhere near as good as the stadium events we have every other month. i think the two best talents for such an event are synderen and sunsfan. they are the type of people that have amazing chemistry and fun banter between them pretty much all the time and on top of that synderen is 7k mmr and knows something about dota while sunsfan can say a shit ton of things around dota2 because he probably knows every workshop artist ever.
