I can't answer your question but I'm trying to figure out this blink stuff myself. For example, "If you used Blink to teleport to a distance over the maximum range, you'll be teleported 4/5 of the maximum range instead." is the dota2wiki description for AM's and QoP's blink. While I can see this raising the skill ceiling slightly, it's completely unintuitive.
More on the subject, blink dagger's description doesn't have that caveat. Therefore, I would assume that double-clicking would blink the full distance.

Double pressing Blink Dagger functions the same way as clicking blink to where your mouse cursor is pointed. It behaves the same way with regard to over-blinking. If you hold your mouse cursor too far, you won't blink the full distance.

Blink Dagger's blink behaves the same way as QoP and Antimage blinks. If you try to over-blink past 1200 range, you'll only move 960 instead.

e: nvm I remember it got patched

man everyone calls it blink dagger instead of Kelen or Kelen's dagger make me sad

Uhh, I had a great epiphany and would like to share with you guys.
We should have a stickied thread listing all the pro teams and keep it updated ofc. Nothing too fancy, at least for starters. Name, members and maybe a bio. I know you are confused as I am about all these teams, eg. Arianna disbanded 10 days after forming. Like wtf. In china there's so much shit going on and the average viewer has no clue.
The reason I'm sharing is because I'm playing too much mafia and don't have time to do this. So a good and willing lad go do it already. Ktnxb.

Well who the hell wants to stay Kelen. I would rather say blink. Easier to remember.

Blink dagger is a boring name. We could call MKB 'Bar of Always hit' but we don't because that's boring. I would definitely be a proponent of a new name given to dagger even if it wasn't Kelen again.

silence and sheep are two different things.

Since this is general discussion I'll ask a very general question:
Does anybody have a sense of how many TLers are watching pro Dota2 streams and / or playing themselves? Are we talking tens, hundreds, or maybe even a thousand? And how does this compare to the TL LoL / HoN scene?
Just curious.

When Kelen's was introduced people just called it Blink Dagger because it was easier to remember a new item by the ability than by it's odd ass name. Sometimes the name is memorable for w/e reason like Guinsoo's, or just easier to say than any alternative like Orchid... deal with it I guess?
I mean it's like asking why each individual hero is called what, a name caught on just because.

I always called it dagger or blink dagger, and then theres cyclone stick (euls), silence stick (orchids, although i usually just call it orchids), and sheep or sheepstick (guinsoos).

dont know exact numbers, but its something like # TL LoL > # TL Dota2 > # TL HoN

U know what pisses me off? People who go mask of madness on faceless void, especially when the game isn't going well. I honestly think thats like the worst often used item choice in the game.
