And if someone does take it - it means they realise they are slowing down XBOCT's farm for their own good. This means we realise that at some point we are supposed to carry the game after that. So, I would say we have 5 carry heroes because everyone in Na`vi farms! I'm not saying it's good or bad ... in some situations it can be good, and in some situations it can be bad. It's not meaningless because not ' every other team ' is Na'Vi. Not every other team posts results and performances like they do when it matters or at TI1 and TI2. He is saying that every player is capable of understanding when farm needs to be taken, and when it is, its taken for a reason. High level players regardless where they come from understand this concept. There's many teams [ and spectators ] that don't understand this concept and it stops them from progressing in their dota understanding.

from the interview it appears that xbox deferrs to the other players and simply takes other farm. this is indicative both of his greatest strength: how well he mshes with navi and his greatest weakness: he doesnt have the knowledge and decison making of other world cass carries

High level players regardless where they come from understand this concept. There's many teams [ and spectators ] that don't understand this concept and it stops them from progressing in their dota understanding. In fact low level teams understand that as well. Since when is understanding farm priority greater than "I'm a carry, I get everything" a high level concept? Every team does this, the better the team, the better they are at ensuring that everyone gets what they need at the time when it's most benefitial. The only difference is that Dendi seems to be saying that they don't actually think about it as a team. Which is in no logical universe a good thing. He even says sometimes it turns out bad, and that's when they're currently playing against much lower level teams than them. the lack of carry/support and every player understanding how much farm they implicitly need is indeed a higher paradigm level and ultimately stronger and more flexible than the classic 4/1 ig is prbably the best example of this in action, with teams like lgd(s), tongfu dk and navi all slowly moving towards their individual variant of it. This was my point, if every top team does this it's sort of meaningless. And even when people are playing classic 4/1 they are 'still' doing this to some degree.

It's about thinking Dota without terms like carry or support. The first is basic. The second is pretty advanced.
