The whole point of axe is that he is a tempo based hero. His early-mid game is super strong, but the biggest thing he contributes late game is a AoE "stun". If you use his early-mid game strength properly, you either get into a position where it is hard to lose from (getting a set of rax early on and having full map control), or buy time for an actual carry to come online.

I mean, you wouldn't balance CM by making her autoattacks do % of enemy life. Her strength is her early game - if you use that, she doesn't need to have good late game.
The only barrier to truth is the presumption that you already have it. It's through our pane (pain) we window (win though).

Godddddddddd I love (old offlane) Aggro trilanes in 6.79 right now.

Maybe it's just because I'm playing against people who haven't figured it out yet, but it feels so strong and so hard to play against. Lemme go over why.

For one, you don't need to wardblock the pull camp with either obs or sentries. The reason this is strong is because their lane, whatever it is, can't afford to pull in almost any situation. This means that you can devote one of your two wards early in an aggro position - either one right behind their T1 that watches the pull camp, or one defensively for your safe lane in the event that he's also facing a trilane. They also last 7 minutes, so warding pre 0:00 runewards is now fine. Awesome.

Two, dual lanes and solo lanes get crushed. There's no two ways about this, because their safelane cannot contest YOUR pulls and if you've drafted an aggro trilane, you've likely drafted a set of heroes that is terrifying right out of the gate. A single pull of their safelane's wave into the small camp usually sacrifices a melee creep while functioning as a single pull - your next creepwave is something they'll have to try lasthit under tower, but afterwards the creep momentum will push back towards your tower. From this point your trilane can control the wave in a favorable position and zone the one or two heroes - the 1300 exp range working in your favour to zone while still being in exp range. From this position (which is easy to get to against dual or solo lanes), you can react to what's going on in the game.

- Weak solo? Single pull the enemy wave and dive him with the wave. If he retreats, single pull and pull through to the next camp, have the core of the trilane farm the wave + neutrals of the pull while the supports push the tower. OR leave one support to zone (don't pull; have your carry control the wave) while the other roams, if they've got a mid that needs shutting down or your bottom lane is in a rough position and afraid of getting dove.

- vs a dual lane? Dedicate both supports to zoning. Your supports will still be getting experience, you should have your extra ward up somewhere that lets you zone safely, and them having two top means your safelane isn't in the same situation, so he should be getting a heck of a lot more than their safelane is. Your goal is still an early tower so you can dissolve the trilane and be useful elsewhere, but getting an exp advantage while it's available is an awful good idea.

The obvious response is this: they NEED to trilane. A defensive safelane trilane isn't bad by any stretch... but it isn't as good as it used to be because of the many changes that disfavor the safelane tri. The other alternative is that they do the same and offensive trilane, which makes me feel like one of my starting items as support should be a teleport scroll TAKE THAT ICEFRAUD, try make me spend my early game money on myself pffff

Well DotA gods? Am I wrong? How's everyone else laning 6.79?

Nyx stun has only screwed me for the vendetta -> impale combo. That's pretty much the only time I wasn't casting it on the ground anyways, so it feels really strange when they just sidestep my stun after the vendetta.

That's not the only change from Aghs, it also increases the duration and damage. It's still not exactly an amazing items for doom, but far more practical than it would be otherwise.

Well, if there is no manasupport in the team (cm or kotl), I allways have mana issues. If i would go septer first, i can skip vangaurd and a shiva's is less good after septer anyways becuz ive allready got better manaproduction. So, septer could be potent because u can skip 2 expensive items if u can manage it all with a septer.`

edit: Tried it with manaboots into --> bloodstone+septer -> u have a nice early tanking spellspammer but to much mana to spend. Not good!

Battlehunger forces your enemies to get into range of the creepwave(to lasthit). Unless you are outnumbered you can just position yourself between the creeps and the enemy hero. Then he either has to get into your attack range to remove battlehunger or get its full damage.
How battlehunger is not a laning spell in your opinion is beyond me.

It forces the enemy to come forward to deny/creep kill, where you can bully them by just running at them. Laning stage is a game of trades. Your forcing HP trades, which axe should come out the winner because Battlehunger last nearly forever.

If your being harassed down quickly, means your not doing the trades efficiently. No one is asking you to run in like it's sparta. Do smart and effective trades ffs.

Then you proceed to give lots of example how it would not work including trilanes etc, who the hell will lane a axe against a trilane. Thats just stupidity. You obviously haven't seen a good axe bullying people out of lane. Or faced one.

you just ignore axe and position yourself 50-75 yards away from your creeps. left or right during engagement and keep yourself at dmg distance to nuke while being spreadout.

as i said you can gu thru this over and over and over again.

ive played moba since strife and dota since beginning and trust me most picks will demolish you what you are trying to do.

also if u didnt notice battlehunger got a change it deals alot worse dmg now,battlehunger serves not purpose in his kit. like some of the heroes that aint touched at all almost.

to ortodox spells that dont fit their kit to well.

im not saying he is bad, i am saying better hero picks that does his job better.

So I tested agha brew,and I say I prefered the old agha. The CD remains so looong! On the other hand the ulti animation being shorter means that people are less likely to run away from your clap or cancel during the animation. Sure, being able to use his spells during his ulti still makes the pandas way stronger but he was already very strong before, it was not this area which needed a buff imo.

The AoE on drunken haze is also not really useful except I think against illusions. Dispell on the other hand will be way more powerful now.

Hallberd could be a niche choice now, but the ennemy carry should get mkb when facing panda btw. Besides after dagger/agha you will usually want some aoe armor like vlad and ac because the pandas start becoming really easy to shut down at this stage of the game.
