Because Moment of Courage is still linked to her autoattack timer, it's just that it plays with the attack speed values. Axe's Counter Helix is not linked to your autoattack timer whatsoever because it's an ability. How does Moment of Courage work in DotA? Whenever you get attacked, immediately receive a buff boosting your AS to the maximum for a single attack so you complete whichever attack you were currently performing, perform another one at the enemy who just attacked you, and come back to regular AS right after? Does the "bonus" auto override whichever action you were performing (so you turn back to hit someone if you were trying to run, or potentially break a channel), or does it wait for completion before playing? Doesn't it mess your targeting if one can make you attack him over his running ally and let the latter escape?

Got a brand new OP carry to play. Got to make Ember Spirit last as long as possible before he gets nerfed. Sorry to break it to you but he already got nerfed. Well, shit.
Maybe I should learn to play Earth Spirit. He looks like he has a lot of potential to be stupidly strong.

Wow, you don't need to see the area you cast Sleight of Fist on.

Axe's Counter Helix is not linked to your autoattack timer whatsoever because it's an ability. So Moment of courage can't actually "proc" if you are mid auto attack animation? (if I'm reading this correctly, which I'm probably not) so it only procs in between auto- attacks ? or does it happen immediately after the current attack if it is triggered. Is there any reason it can't be linked the same as axe's counter helix but just use her right-click damage? or would it then be triggered too often ? (I just played him a lot in Dota 1, never really dug into any of these nuances. So My ignorance is showing) Technically that would work but there's a ridiculous number of special cases you'd have to rectify between on-attack and on-ability effects that make that solution even more troublesome than fixing the bug.

I think it's made to help people to communicate with others who don't speak the other language. actually this might make going solo and getting a team full of foreigners more manageable now (hopefully)

I am very happy with this update. I hope Valve learns from their mistakes and communicates with the players. I wasn't in the crazy group that spammed emoticons and stuff like that but I was kind of bothered by the lack of communication and even played less Dota 2 lately because I just didn't feel the drive to do it. I trust they realized how much their interaction affects the community.

The nerfs for ember only hits those that are used to playing him with shield + chains. With the mana cost, its not effective build anymore. even then, sof chain build was strong, but its not an intuitive way on how he works. Before you bash the build, I suggest you try sof chain, with shield gotten last or after stats. Build wise is to play him as a carry with 2 x bf and crit. If you have to fight earlier, make sure you have oov.
Intuitively, shield route seem to do more damage. I forgot the math, but sof build doesn't lose out to it. More importantly, you don't need to be suicidal and glued to the enemy. Definitely the drawback is the weak laning, but xin sucks at it anyway.
Xin is one of the hardest carry around when he has items. His curve is unique in that early game he is weak, mid game he is strong with levels. mid late game he is weak as his skill set starts to fade, and he hasn't gotten his items. Late game he is a monster with sof + bf crit splash.

Equally, the community needs to trust in Icefrog.

Guys, Dota heroes are strong.
Imagine Magnataur or Batrider being released today.

Valve always impressive with the character models for DOTA2 nowadays. Wonder if that coaching feature will open up some revenue streams for the pros. Valve has done a lot of innovating with this game and very cool to see that it's still going.

Don't expect it any time soon. It is not something that is really needed. If it is a main focus for you I suggest you try other games. I'm gonna take Monday off for this... I have been playing dota since something like ... 2008. So yeah at some point random match making is not fun anymore in a e-sport focused game. I don't get why people say that ladder is not a main concern in this game. Do you imagine W3 or SC2 without ladder ? NO, then why DOTA2 should be different ? There is a reason why the pro player I watched in the MYM/SK era are still the same one that are competing today : it's because there is no easy way for players to start playing comp games. And I don't think things like going to a invite league full of retarded BM player who think they are all the next Yaphets or Dendi or switching to ShitLeague of retard as was suggested in an other post is a good option to start player interest in playing serious DOTA and growing the pro scene. we still have them around because they're still really good at dota and still want to play There are up and coming players in the scene too, Hell, like all of Speed gaming, Qojqva and Wayto? RTZ, there are new players coming into the scene. None of these players are new unless you count new being "started playing dota 2 near the beginning of the beta". Seriously, speed gaming? ?
I'm sorry. How many players on Alliance were at TI for the first time? 3.
I don't know what your criteria for new players is, but people like Aui, EE, Bulldog? All of these palyers may have played WC3 dota but they're certainly new to the competetive dota scene overall.
As for the fact that they palced WC3 dota, its not that WC3 dota allowed some sort of pro growth that we need to have ladders to emulate, its that Dota is an incredibly complex game and its hard as hell to compete on the professional level without a TON of knowledge
thats exactly why the KR teams are so BAD
