To me, it looks like icex3 is on the outer rims of the team, the 5th player playing by himself while the other 4 are a team. It's a 4+1 but the offlaner is the 1 lol. | ||

Yes this series showed it helps but in reality its a formality or just makes the winning team play a few more games that were unneeded. Not to mention this is dota and not sc2 where games take 45 minutes on average so 2-3 more games can make an event go too long and people leave or if there is more than one game can delay a game that is after it so far it goes into the next day which usually means the other game has to play at like 4 in the morning since events dont usually rent spaces to include mondays | ||

I don't think you're reading this correctly at all. Icex3 is constantly used on his team as a space creator. Meaning he operates on his own to apply a lot of pressure to the enemy team so that the rest of his team can push towers or farm up key items. It's the tri-core style not at all 4+1. That's why he plays offlane and powerful heroes like timbersaw/Slark. If he was a pariah on the team, they would not be giving him heroes and roles that important to the team's victory. The Chinese commentary, which is done by other Chinese pro players, consistently praises Icex3's play and talks about how much he does for the team. I would be very surprised if there is any kind of this internal drama you are suggesting. | ||
