Team DK wins the WPC Ace League Finals 4-3 over iG, with one of the biggest comebacks we have ever seen
DK emerged victorious last night over iG in the WPC Ace League Finals. These two teams started the 2014 season off with a bang, going the distance in a full bo7 series. iG started the night off going 3-0 with ease, making it seem like they had it in the bag, but after the halfway lunch break DK centered their thoughts and came back in full force. They ended up winning the next 4 games, taking the series in one of the biggest reverse all-kill's we have ever seen in Dota 2. There was a lot on the line as DK will be taking home a massive grand prize of $163,400, while iG will get the 2nd place prize of $49,000.
With this win, DK are officially the first ever champions of a full bo7 Grand Finals in Dota 2, as well as the first champions of 2014. They came into the WPC Ace League with a brand new roster, and no one knew how they were going to do. Their star studded lineup clearly proved that they are one of the best in the scene right now.
Congratulations to DK for winning the WPC Ace League Grand Finals.

Despite all that iG certainly had a great showing as well.

That break was weird but well played to both teams. Lanm really played better after the break while YYF seemed to lose a bit of the flair he had in the first 3 games.

I wish I could call it a great comeback, but honestly most all of the games in this series were very lopsided. IG started with gank-centric drafting that took a quick advantage in early game kills and led to easy mid game tower pushes for the win. DK responded after the break by banning a lot more gankers. IG's answer was to draft their typical 5-man push strats or 4+1's and got wrecked like they usually do vs DK.

These series has proved we need (and we will get) more Bo7 finals in dota.

Outstanding reverse all-kill by DK. Loved the final game where they paused when they had won :D

Thanks thanks!
I've been off with watching Dota 2 tourneys lately (cuz of hearthstone lol), and this is probably the best one to see.

I don't know, as cool as it was to see DK come back, this seemed more like an argument *against* BO7's. Having a series span an entire day felt like way too much to me. I know there are potentially ways to cut down on some of the lengthy downtime, but I think the whole thing is too grueling regardless.
