10:43Martin Robinson This is a darker expansion.
10:59Martin Robinson You'll get Smart Drops - every time one drops, there's a chance its stats are tweaked to suit the character you're playing.
11:00Martin Robinson Comparing original D3 and the expansion - in Act 3 you'd find 256 common, 399 blue, 275 yellow and one legendary.
11:00Martin Robinson In Reaper of Souls, it could be 73 white items, 266 blues and 83 yellow items - but there's more chance they'll be smart drops.
11:01Martin Robinson And it'll throw 6 legendary items your way, and this time they'll be build changers.
Wait, so are we waiting until the expansion for the item tweaking we were promised? Yes. That is bullshit if true. They announced it for regular D3 6 months ago, it killed the game for lots of people. "Oh its coming, we are working on it..." then in june "oh it wont be before blizzcon" and now possibly "oh, go buy the expansion"
This had better not be true or I would actually be very upset.

But I think it is a bad sign when they upset even me. You dont tell people about a gamechanging patch 7 months after release then tell people to wait and get the expansion a year and a half later.

I'm interested to see how these smart items work because the way stats in D3 work an item is crap for every char or usefull for every char (except main stat). In my opinion they have to redesign all stats and how they work.

What about PvP, they advertised it on game package?

Well the paladin skillset in D2 is quite different from monk. I saw what looked like fist of the heavens from D2(or something very similar), and very obviously blessed hammer. Paladin skillset probably is focused much more on sword and board, with the shield being very important to damage.

What were those other areas again? I question your honesty. If you played D3 at all, you must have noticed the great improvements in the actual combat. Much more diverse, much more strategic. How much does blizzard pay you? There is no way someone can defend D3 against its 12 years old predecessor. I played Diablo 2 before the expansion came out and many years after. I do not play as much D3 now as I played D2 then. Because I have less time than before. If I play any Diablo today, it is D3; not D2.

I believe they talked about this before... particularly with class specific items.

Paladin returning to D3 is the best news I could've hoped for for this game.
Not being able to play my Holy Warrior Archetype in a game about Demons and Angels made me feel like I was missing something.

What were those other areas again? Are you one of these guys who played through normal and says know :"I played D3, it´s shit!"? Seriously, if you can play smoothly on inferno, it´s not that far away from D2. I personally can´t play D2 anymore, because D3 is so much more comfortable to play than D2...
I love this... Because you have to go through the game multiple time to play inferno. I played D3 normal... And i had no fun playing it again... so how could i have inferno ? I would have to force myself to play the game again to attein this enjoyable part. No way.
I'm not saying Diablo 3 is shit. I was disapointed, left it alone for a few month, then got back on it and finished it. I don't like it. I was not a really fan of D2. I still love Diablo1 much better.
Diablo 1 was awesome. Diablo 2 missed the dark atmosphere of D1 but was still good Diablo 3 miss the character customisation of both D1 and D2 but have still good dynamics and have kind of the atmosphere right.
Those who talks story... you don't espect and play a Hack and slash for its story.
Broken english is broken. I'm tired

That cinematics department, soo good.
The environments feel a lot darker, but still...I think it's hard to make a diablo game with this art style. for some reason that grimy 2d look really suited it. Not quite sure how they can transfer something like that to the modern world without it looking aged.
The new character, I never really liked the paladdin/warrior types too much in the earlier games, so that class is meh + Show Spoiler + The witch doctor didnt give me the feel of my fav class, the necro though it was supposed to...so that would be interesting

D3 was way too colourful and bright imo. Oh well, the trailer looks quite cool as expected, the gameplay looks nice until I remember watching monk play was quite awesome until I find out playing monk is actually really boring

Just take the path to inferno as "First work, then play"^^

All right, predictions:
The expansion will be rolled out just like HotS was. It will be a massive upgrade to the current game, install Loot 2.0 into basic D3 right before release. It will then unlock RoS at the release date. Spawning people from D3 into the expansion may be an option.
|
Blizzard knows have to make some awesome cinematics.
But as for the expansion, if I'm gonna buy it, it has to be a massive improvement to the pile of dogshit that currently is d3.
