Diablo 2 never killed people by sheer difficulty. It did so by encouraging people to do recklessly large pulls. I kinda like where this is going as far as game difficulty is concerned.

Just did an act 1 run. A lot more drops, half a plevel in 30 minutes.

I just did: Keeps 1 Keeps 3 Arreat Lvl 1 -> Azmo (Including Spider) Non-full clears, race to exit on Arreat Craters.
Got 3,765,000 exp. About the first 1.5 Paragon levels. EDIT: Actually, I got way more EXP than this. 7,200,000 + 3,765,000 = 10,965,000 exp.
The exp chart listed here: http://www.diablofans.com/news/1320-paragon-level-exp-chart/ Shows the amount of exp needed to go from level 0 to level X. Not from level X to level X+1. It's not going to take long for someone to get 100 Paragon levels.
EDIT: Actually, I got 3,765,000 + exp for level 1. So the chart still does mean from level X to X+1. My mistake.

The levels get bigger just like they did for 1-60. The last few are going to be enormous, they will take a very long time.

Yeah, when I was leveling through this, for some reason I thought the exp bar was maintaining the same width through the two paragon levels and assumed the exp needed for level 100 was cumulative. I was wrong.
No, I didn't use a ruby hat.

Too little too late. They should have updated the game every two weeks with upgrade on auction house, restrictons on monsters affixes as a priority. The game is dead, most people don't want to play the game anymore
Atleast they got to the conclusion than fury/AP/spirit/mana spenders are complete garbage compare to primary attacks. If they did changes little by little they could have work on additionnal content, PvP and give players things to do instead of taking their damn time to try to fix their game in one single patch.

Gems are stackable above 30 now.

Looks like imma be firing up d3 tonight. Read about the changes earlier this week in the developer blogs and I really think they've nailed the core problems with the game.

Lol R u srs Blizzard?
They havent fixed the invincible invisible Morloks yet.

4-man a3 runs are gonna be a joke now, huge paragon xp and reaaally quick.

Wait, there is no MF swap penalty in this patch? Or I am missing something? Does it mean that my crappy MF set will still be viable?

So jelly, want to play the patch already, but we need to wait overnight
|
The problem is there is still no new content lolz. And all the existing one is hella short and repetitive t.t
The changes sure are nice tho looks like version 1.0 of Diablo to me.

fuck that patch
but seriously, this patch is a bit too late. A lot of people have moved to other games and this won't bring them back.

I hated this new Paragon system. What is the real endgame now, Kill Inferno Diablo or get to lvl 100 Paragon. It seems the later one as Diablo can be killed before getting to lvl 100 and if Diablo is not the endgame priority anymore, what is the point of grinding for the XP
