Act 2 is very easy now, I can take 5 stack kulle in 10-15m and belial in semi dps spec, However, in act 3 I get stomped incredible hard.. After 20k in repairs I usually get 5 stacks and siegebreaker takes 5-10m, so the farming is not very efficients.
Im at 800-900 AR, 14k dps, 52k hp, 28% block (with sacred shield and the helm of command),1000 LOH 1.4 attacks per second (I think), 10k armor, 17% SoE. All the stats are with buffs included.
I think the stats are rather good, but perhaps i just suck ^^
I run with frenzy - sidearm, charge with dreadnought, wotb - insanity, ignore pain 7s, revenge - provocation and warcry - impunity...
This post's goal is not just to whine, but to get a few tips incase I've missed some in this thread.
Ey fellow norwegian
Your stats are quite good, but I'd look for a shield with a higher block chance and some more DPS, for example some gloves with str+attack speed and possibly crit/crit dmg if you don't have that. I'm also having a hard time believing you can't find any upgrades below 5 mill.
Feel free to add me @Dmn#2657, and I'll see if I can help in any way.

If I had similar gear quality on my Wizard to what my Barb has, I could be absolutely stomping A3. Man, I've seen you post here quite a bit and you seem to have some problems in A3. I mean, I hit the A3 wall pretty hard too and was considering rerolling a Wiz myself, but it just ain't as fun kiting around as it is jumping in and destroying stuff. Needless to say I sticked with my barb, and I'm now happily farming siegebreaker in 20 min runs. It'd pain me to see you give up. If you could post your stats and gear, maybe I could give you some advice? Nah, don't worry. I'm still playing my Barb. Just started playing my Wiz for a change of pace. I also just haven't had as much time to put into the necessary farm for the past week because I've been moving. Realistically I'd have broken the A3 gap by now if I'd actually put in the time.
I wish you good luck then. I myself am currently leveling a wizard on hardcore and I just wanna go back to my barb, it's so boring lol.

Dmn, I've might have exaggerated a bit on the costs :D. Anyway, I've added you!

It's amusing how most Barbs reroll a second char as Wiz, myself included. And just to echo his sentiments, it is quite depressing how easily a Wiz can faceroll through content my Barb would otherwise have a hair-ripping experience with. The gear requirement for a Barb to bridge the gap between Inferno A1 and A2 is significant and from A2 to A3/A4 costs anywhere from 3-5M a piece unless you get incredibly lucky by camping AH/lucky find.

Hey Dmn !!!,I want to thank you so much,At first i have 20m to spend and i already have SS,SOE,JOL and I can't even do anything in act 3 ,Then decide to spend 20m into 1h godlike LOH weapon (http://i.imgur.com/yvIjl.jpg) , But after I read your comment I change my mind and spend 20m and this is my new stats (http://i.imgur.com/9T9O7.jpg) , Now it freaking easy to farming in act3 lol.

I am having a hard time as a barb right now. I'm in a2 but not effective at killing there yet so im doing skeleton king/warden/butcher stuff with 5 stacks trying to farm up enough for my next upgrades. It is taking forever. Heres my stats:
str: 827 vit: 1109 43k life 7850 damage 6500 armor 800-900 resist all no LOH or IAS :/
Anyone been through similar level of farming/gear with their barb can give me some insight? I dont have any other chars.

For anyone looking for a starting point for act 2 I finished most of it today but have yet to do Belial. Was having a lot of trouble till I upgraded my shield to one with higher block value. Died a few times to tough elite packs that I would have to kite and wait for defensive cds but their difficulty varied alot, some packs I could even face tank all 4 indefinitely. I was also able to kill Iskatu in act 4 with this gear 3/4 times. The spec pictured is what I used for Iskatu (Cleave bomb is so fkn fun!!). + Show Spoiler + Thanks so much for everyone's helpful tips in this thread. Although I never posted any questions i never really needed to after reading through this thread. I picked up the game 1 week ago today and my progress in inferno is all thanks to you guys!

hmm, your armor seems pretty low (i'm assuming those arey our buffed stats)
you have a little bit more resist than me, we have the same life, but im over 9000 armor, and about 10k dps (no LOH) and i can farm act 2 pretty safely now (5stack kulle, 5 stack belial)
are you using both armor passives? im staying alive running wotb and earthquake, so not even getting the added bonus of defense from iron leap or dreadcharge

Glad you found my advice helpful, and you're yet another one who proves that you don't really need LOH to do well.

You lack strength. Another 300 strength would do you good. Look for high amounts of strength on shoulders and belts especially.
What is your shield like? Block%, block amount? I'd consider anything worse than a sacred shield with less than 27% block quite crap, unless the block% ain't super low and it gives insane stats.
Your armor also seem very low. Including both armor passives, warcry and enchantress you should aim to have over 9000 (lol) armor for A2. Just look for more strength and vitality, higher tier items with more base armor and some +armor on maybe a couple pieces.

Progressing with my Barb is a hell of a lot more fun than with my Wizard.
It's just that I have to actually be progressing, and not farming for 3-5mil upgrades -_-

I killed Maghda with 5 stacks today for the first time largely thanks to the wonderful people in this thread handing out advice. I really feel I have moved but act 2 poses new challenges. I still don't have millions of gold, but at my current gear level I believe some obvious standouts should be upgradeable at reasonable prices. The following screenshot is with War Cry - Impunity and without enhchantress
Gear + Stats
I am thinking a new weapon, torso or shield with added strength might be worth looking in to.
Throughout act 1 I was using Berserker's Rage since I wasn't impressed by superstition compared to the other defensive passives. I am of course having a harder time in act 2. Is a switch to incorporate Superstition recommended for someone breaking their way in to act 2?
Thanks again for helping me through act 1. I have a feeling it will be a while before I am in act 3 though...

I would probably replace your boots, head, shoulders, shield first and then maybe chest. Your weapon could also use an upgrade. You can get an almost 900 dps wep for 200-300k, whihc I'd say is alot better than that tiny amount of LOH.

Wat! That sounds absolutely dreadful... Are there even any decent farming choices left for barbarians?
In other news: A 5 stack Maghda run with 300%mf in 10 mins sounds like an incredible feat...

Thanks, I had a feeling my resists were adequate for act 2. I think I will upgrade my weapon next. Last time I met rare wasps I only managed to kill 1 before enrage... My damage was way too low. Some people have been saying that weapons with affixes that only provide dps aren't really worth it so I am not sure whether I will buy a "naked" dps weapon or bump up my strength or vitality like you recommend.

I'm using a naked dps weapon and I've killed diablo 5 stacked, they work fine. Weps with stats are often overpriced, especially those with LOH.
Anyway, don't think of what you should get first, just... if you find something good for a good price, buy it. And you might wanna consider picking up some boots with str (and/or vit), a good amount of resist all and movement speed. You can find some good ones for quite cheap, as movespeed is an undervalued stat. Movement speed is sooo good.

get ias and loh ;D
im 1-2 upgrades from being able to handle the first parts of act3 and i have 1.86 attacks per second and 1100 life on hit, stacking resists >>>> vit because it improves the value of life on hit so much, 1150 str only 31k hp and 750 resists and it seems fine to me.
vitality seems like the godmode barb stat because of revenge working ok with it and it giving bonus armor, but by stacking resistance and damage and dropping hp you make health globes (with +health globe bonus) and loh more effective.

i bought an 850 dps weapon with str and a socket off AH today for 1 mil gold, spent about 400k on a 300 loh gem, seems like much better value than a random blue that might have 50 more base dps.

my stats and spec for farming the end of act2 if you want a reference point, with is with war cry up.
some things like shout choice and third passive are pretty optional.

LoH is not the ultimate solution to everything. It is nice and I recommend ~800, but at the same time you also notice that LoH usually doesn't "work" when you need it to heal you the most: such as trying to get hits into annoying runners with crowd control suffixes (nightmare, jail, etc).
I went for the money route to farm act 3: I rerolled a demon hunter. Within 1 week I was able to buy myself a 31% stormshield, a helm of command, and a block ring. Once 50% of all incoming attacks are blocked, as long as I am not standing in stuff I do mostly fine.
There is a slightly cheaper route of trying to stack as much HP as possible to the >90k mark. With so much vit, revenge heals for a lot more and you have a large buffer to damage taken. Vit also grants armor. You still want 900-1k resist after impunity though.
