I didn't have an offense + MF set for goblins anyway, nor people on my friend list I could farm them with. Maghda runs took too long due to bad base mob types on the elites and Kulle -> Belial runs were off the table due to Kulle needing a weapon throw build for me. Going back to Warden/Butcher wasn't an option due to low ilvl. I went for Iskatu runs after Shikyo raved about them and that's worked out really well for me. I've made about 30mil in 20 hours but I believe I was fairly lucky (had an amulet drop I sold for 10mil). With commodity auctions back online the profits have gone up a bit, too, enough to partially offset the flood of ilvl 63 blues on the AH. Unfortunately I was delayed on the Act 2 to Act 3 transition by first leveling a Demon Hunter from 1-60 for farming Whimsyshire. Even a fresh 60 DH can handle the Act 3-level trash in Whimsyshire because they're all melee (and they give ilvl 63 loot) but the elites were too obnoxious to farm it easily. Granted if I invested more than ~1.5mil in the DH's gear and some time to learn to kite better I might have made that work but Iskatu solved the problem anyway. That sort of matched my gut feeling, but I had a dry spell of getting nothing sellable from Iskatu runs. Guess I'll go back to them, as they're pretty painless compared to every other option. Or can anyone tell me just how good block is? Block doesn't factor easily into EHP because it depends on how much post-mitigation damage you're actually taking. Since it's a flat amount, it's more effective mitigation vs. small hits, and less effective vs. big ones.

I now farm Spiderlady + Azmodan in 30-50 minutes pretty easy, although Its way too hard to get valor in the long way down that tower, I get my valor from easier places and then just leap/charge my way to the Spider and after that to Azmodan himself. Its really much easier and I recommend everyone doing that ![]() Now my question is what items do I need to change before I can clear act 4! what would you guys recommend to change? My biggest problem is obviously my weapon but I see in the AH that good weapons go now for like 20M (!!!) So my question about a weapon, should I buy a 1k dps weapon (mb with vita and str) just to make it easier and faster for me to do Azmodan runs or should I wait the loooong time for the 20M weapons? It will take me a really long time to get 20M I think :S Really need help deciding that and also need to know if I should change any other gear! My stats: http://imageshack.us/f/805/barbstats2.jpg/ My gear: http://imageshack.us/f/411/barbitems2.png/ Thanks so much guys!

You have very nice stats but very low dps. I notice your HP is SUPER high, perhaps you should try changing out your vit gems for strength. Sure you'll lose some life but I don't think you need that much and the extra dps boost may help more than you would imagine. I can't hurt and it's super cheap way to sidegrade gear; just swap gems!

Agreed. Your Str/Vit balance seems way out of whack compared to any Barb I've seen. Even if it doesn't let you do A4, I imagine swapping Vit for Str would cut down your farming time considerably. As far as weapon upgrades, I'd say try to at least sidegrade for something that has some Life on Hit, or a socket (to put an Amethyst in). Your mitigation is so high that you should get enormous value out of the LoH healing.

Resist or HP? DPS will come naturally with better weapons and +% weapon dmg on them, so thats no problem. Armor isn't an issue too cuz it comes with items naturally.

I would say All Resist should be your top priority if your just starting inferno.

im still wondering about ur skillsets - all those leap and charge builds... arent those quite gimmicky :/ Dont wanna play like that^^ my skills / stats here (buffed, ench 59 cause i had templar till now :D ) ![]() What should i look out for the most? i know i need a stormshield, but my shield is okish (low block) and stormshield is expensive as **** Hardcore char died cause of lag / dropped out with 100% hp --> dead... Back to Softcore i guess.

Immediate advice I can give is swap the ruby in your weapon for an amethyst. I'd much rather have 200 life on hit than that 25 weapon damage.

My barb hit 60 a couple of days ago and, inspired by this thread, I decided I would forgo sword & board and stick to my trusty 2-hander instead. So far, I'm abolutely loving it. I made some money farming Act 3 on my wiz, and I spent roughly 1.5 mil on items for my barb. Started Inferno yesterday, and to my great surprise Act 1 was a joke. I switched up that guy's build a little, using Revenge instead of Shockwave, so that I could use Berserker Rage and get +25% damage. So, using Reckless, Weapons Master (with a mace), and Berserker Rage passives, I had roughly 35k dps, 31% crit, and 210% crit damage (my weap has both +60 crit damage % and a socket). Resists were sitting at 600(buffed), armor at ~5800, and hp at 35k, but I blew through everything despite my somewhat low defense. With the WotB+Insanity/Earthquake/Ignore Pain+Ignorance is Bliss combo, any pack of elites melted in seconds, and even without cooldowns I pretty much blew through them. Butcher was down in about 15 seconds flat, 100k crits ftw. So, I was at Act 2 and thought to myself, "Now I'm gonna get my ass kicked. Here's the brick wall everyone's been talking about." But, nope. Switched out Weapons Master for Nerves of Steel and just kept on trucking, got to Maghda last night with only about ~2 deaths to an annoying pack of bees, killed every pack along the way. Anyways, I'm sure I need more resists and armor for act 3, but I'll be damned if this isn't the funnest character to play in the game. I feel like a rampaging badass, and I've all but forgotten about my wizard. If any of you are bored of defensive specs, check this build out, I highly recommend it ![]()
