I'm farming up for a good 2h to try out the 2h builds i've been seeing. I'm thinking of saving a 1h + shield for if I do a hardcore barb. If 2h ends up working out that is.
You know you can't transfer gear to a hardcore character right?

You start on the 2nd part of quest 9. Then you go to the Northern Highlands waypoint, check for The watch tower dungeon, if there you do the dungeon, if not you reload game til you get it. After you do the dungeon you go to the Halls of Agony lvl 2 waypoint and continue on from there. ez pz

Yup I know. I wasn't planning on transferring it, just stating that it would be really boring to do 1h + shield on a full softcore playthrough AND a full hardcore playthrough. So if 2h barb works out for me to finish softcore, then doing 1h + shield for hardcore, pretty much mandatory if you actually want to live lol, won't be stale and boring.

would be fine but they need more search options instead of three. It's annoying when your looking for high end gear. Armor is an easy stat to find cause sort by armor, but others arent as easy.

Yeah. Also, they need to let you use search options for legendaries, because a 10% melee reduction String of Ears is a lot different from a 20% one =_=

If you want to filter for legendaries - just search all armor and use filters. Set level to 52 > Legendaries Only > Melee Dmg Reduction to 20%.

alright my barb is level 57 and I have some questions
1. I have 6m cause I got lucky with a drop, is this money enough to gear me to do act 2 inferno? If no, how much more do I need?
2. What are the minimum gear in order to do act2 ?
3. Where's the best place to farm gold/items on act 2?
4. What should I buy first?

well i got bored of farming and went and killed diablo. It was a waste of time loot wise (duh) but I guess it's nice for achievements. I never bothered before because meh, but I'm glad I took the time to do it.
Here are the gear + stat screenshots since I know everyone likes to see this stuff to compare/contrast. I went ULTRA conservative, all survive skills etc., I don't think this level of caution is needed and it took forever. However, I did switch out 5 pieces when my image spawned to dps him down. Also, my build in general (stat/gear wise) is very tanky because the only way I farm is 4 man spider->azmodan runs. my damage is irrelevent in this group, it only matters I live as long as possible. The skills on my bar are completely wrong for those runs though. Quite different actually.

I was holding out for days and days for a 950+ dps with 800+ LoH and i just couldn't find anything less than 20M+, I ended up snagging that one for 10M. I know the DPS isn't as high as I was hoping but for 10M, I just lost patience and snagged it up.

Does anyone know if you're invulnerable during leap? And what about during furious charge?
I've charged through a frozen mob explosions and not gotten hit, but it's hard to tell with latency. I think arcane enchanted + frozen is my favorite combo since I get to fly around like a ninja dodging beams and explosions.

as far as i can tell u can get hit during charge but you're immune to disables, and leap gives u invulnerability

Leap doesn't give make you invulnerable but if you leap at the right time you can avoid getting frozen, you will still take damage though.

Watching the AH can sure pay off...a couple days ago I bought a 20% SoE for 2.25M. And then literally 30 seconds ago, I bought a stormshield for 3.5M with the following stats:
1010 armor
89 str
61 intel
61 vitality
69 all resist
+7% block
4% reduction melee
5% reduction elites
oh and 30% block
FUCK YES. Sorry I'm just so happy right now
Edit: My melee reduction is 23.2% rather than 24% so somewhere I have been robbed!! This is madness! Even though...if I put on just my belt, it says 20%, if I put on just my SS, it says 4%...very odd =/

Well, don't the percentages stack... mathematically?
I mean if you have something that gives you 20% reduction out of 100 dmg, you would take 80 damage. Then if you add something that adds 4%, it will deduct 4% out of the 80 dmg left, meaning, 3.2dmg.
So 20+3.2 = 23.2%
I'm not sure if it supposed to be like this but it does make sense, somewhat.

I guess that makes sense. I just assumed things would be added on front end (add percentage together then reduce damage). In the way you explain, you could never truly reach 100% damage reduction, which of course makes sense. Thanks for explanation

That's because 4% of 100 is 4, and 20% of 100 is 20, it's same thing it just looks weird.
Very very nice find on stormshield, congrats , mine only has 25% block and I spent twice what you did, I got the vital as well though which I was looking for.
Looking to farm up another big ticket item at the moment. Maybe a nice gloves, havent got a good one right now.
