so i just decided to change from rend-WW build to HoTA/WW build and i was wondering what MP should I farm? I can farm MP10 keeps 2 using rend-ww build (but I skip elites/champs) but since i changed to HoTA/WW do you think I should change my route to alkaizer run? thinking that HoTA build is designed for killing elites. lolthx | ||

Also, a mechanical question about WW -- do I just spam WW and Bash as much as possible? (Thinking about keybindings, as LClick Bash and RightClick WW is not going to be good if I have to spam both). Lastly, which follower should I use? Enchantress is still miles better than the others? | ||

Ideally, you don't want to use bash much (but it is still good as left click). Keep up sprint and hold WW for mobility. You may need to spam battle rage to spend fury as well, you can't gain fury if you are maxed. Also, if you aren't used to using the "move" command, I would give that a try, bind a key like space to move and just hold that. In terms of gearing, you want another 12% move speed, but you are gonna have to drop either your IK bonus or your bracers for it. You also want to think about adding more attack speed to your gear in general, battle rage doesn't care how hard you crit, just how often. Finally, you can probably get a cheap echoing fury for your off hand, dps doesn't matter, just try to get close to +.25 attacks per second and good stats, str, crit damage, socket, etc. In terms of follower, either scoundrel or enchantress is good, once you start learning about breakpoints, you can decide which one works better for you. | ||

Doing an Alkaizer run (as detailed here -- is this still up to date? www.diablowiki.net/Alkaizer_Run -- I think I saw something about a spider xp nerf?) at MP1 and am having issues keeping WotB up -- it falls off pretty quickly, and I'm getting no extended duration at all (or at most a second or two). Is there some trick to keeping WotB up that I'm missing? I am spamming Battle Rage in case I hit max fury (but am not having that issue, generally). | ||

If your are talking about the stygian crawlers, the XP nerf will happen at the 1.8 patch. which will prob come in a week or so. Regarding your trouble of keeping your wrath up. You need to spend Fury to gain more second to your thrive on chaos. Every 25 Fury gained while Wrath of the Berserker is active adds 1 second to the duration of the effect So, you need to spam Sprint, and whatnot so you can keep your fury down, so you can earn fury, and that way gain more seconds to your wrath duration. Im no way a WW barb, I just use the build for some farming, but thats what I do to gain more seconds. | ||

Edit: more move speed and attack speed (including echoing fury) on gear will help too, but mp1 is definitely too low. | ||

1. one or two shot white/trash monsters 2. take less than 30sec to kill most elites OR another way is to do mp9/10 and just skip elites and just kill trash | ||

Edit: but I do agree. the combination of skills for the WW is pretty OP. And there have been requests and talk about nerfing the thrive on chaos rune.. | ||

Not sure if I'll keep playing at all... That's why you have to be like me and go 1h shield with rend/revenge/ground stomp + wrenching rune. Absolute man-mode. Oh and also, no health regen from life on hit, life per sec, or life steal. All health globes and revenge. A WW barb with like 1/4th my worth in gear can survive MP10, 1/2 my gear can survive MP10 AND kill mobs, while MP5/6 is a real challenge for me. It's actually quite funny. I can respec into whirlwind with life steal and even without two 1hs with socketed crit and whatnot, I can absolutely demolish MP7/8 just by fury dumping properly | ||

If you want to farm above MP5 you need more HP. Try to craft "Archon Spaulders of Vitality" (can roll ~300str/300vit) and if you're lucky sell your Vile Ward. You should probably go for 5-Set IK because your Chest and Boots are pretty bad and you can get pretty Cheap IK Boots and Chest that would definitly improve your Gear and give you the 5-Set Bonus. Either than that, always try to get more CHD and IAS. And change WarCry to Overpower(KillingSpree). | ||

In my opinion you wanna tune your MP as low as possible but high enough to a point where monsters live long enough to let you keep permanent WotB. | ||

Im my opinion WOTB/Earthquake/CotA cooldown should be reduced (for each rune) to 60 seconds. 2 minutes were fine a year ago when we were facing an elite pack every 3-4 minutes or so with our 10k dps. Right now a 2 minute cooldown is just obsolete, it is half my typical run! Meanwhile Thrive on Chaos should be reworked to be similar to Critical Mass, so "critical hits have a chance to lower the cooldown of WOTB by 1 second" or the same with the usual "every 25 fury gained...". The amount of crits/fury in 15" should make it possible to pop WOTB a couple times per minute. That way it shouldn't feel mandatory since other (hopefully buffed) skills/runes may compete with it (think of WOTB/Insanity or Earthquake once per minute). | ||
