i've tested the SMK a bit and it seems the clear speed is not that much better if at all, but i tend to get low more often or stuck with CD and no army. (HC) i feel like i'm playing this SMK wrong. maybe i should try a higher torment level so the fetishes don't keep idle that often? | ||

Trying to kill mobs with just DoT at anything above T3 would take forever. I half disagree. Pet is MUCH harder to gear than Jade, but Jade is almost useless until you get 7 specific legendaries. Most people start off with Pet and then use it to start gearing Jade. Pet is harder because you need MoJ (semi-rare), Tasker and Theo (very rare), Starmetal Kukri (ultra rare), Hexing Pants (ultra rare), Tall Man's Finger (ultra rare). And then on top of that, things like SoJ/etc. However, pet builds are playable without any of these items, they just aren't very effective until you get them. You'll be in T3-T4 for a long time until you get enough of these items. Jade is completely useless until you get 7 legs. You need 5pc Jade, RoRG, and Quetz helm. However, the full build does not have any ultra rare items in it. Once you get those 7 legs, it doesn't take long before you are facerolling T6. | ||

A from scratch WD with common legendaries can easily rift on T1-3 just by using Addling Toads/FS. You can then swap FS into FA if you happen to come across 3 Zuni's and a RoRG. Or stick with FS if you find a Rhenho, etc. Point is, Haunt/Locust WD is simply not viable until you have the full 5-6 piece Jade set + RoRG. I don't know why you're arguing otherwise. | ||

Been gearing this guy for 2 days. Already can clear t4 solo and can hang in a t6 group. Pet is definitely the way to go for starters. | ||

You can go up to T4 with MoJ+well-rolled common random legs, and T5 once you find a tasker, or zuni's, maybe with a serpent if you need toughness. I said half-disagree, because your points are valid. What I mean is, Pet WD starts out strong but plateaus quickly, and then takes a massive amount of time to reach BiS. Jade WD has a barrier to entry, but once you get over that small hump, it takes very little time to get BiS or close | ||

Any suggestions for builds and items? I'm guessing the orange Mask of Jeram is BIS for helm as well as TnT for gloves. Is Hexing pants possible with Zunimassas? | ||
