Well, sticking with it means you can easily change it in the future. I think I'd prefer crit chance myself but I don't think I'd bother if the +dmg was on my main skill

I see most of the WDs that are streaming run some of the pet builds with a mixture of sometimes using bats or barrage/acid rain. Are they so much more effective or just preference?

I'm still stuck on using bears mostly because the piranhado is so good with them and most of the other builds seem to base around different stats (no focus on crit damage for pets) or other elemental damages (I have ~55% poison dmg+, where most bats are fire and barrage is cold) don't have spesific skill +% anymore since switching most of the gear from yellow to legendary or random set pieces.

Unlike the previous posts, I feel like I can still get health globes at decent pace though I think with feast/injustice I should aim for high rolled Thing of the Deep (does any other item give such large pick up radius bonus?) and try to craft high rolled bracers as 25-30% mana per globe sounds insane, though it will end up as poison dmg loss unless it can be rolled on them. With them my list of to get items just keeps growing.

need some advice on my wd, she does pretty decent single target dps with carnevil but my white mob clearing efficiency is really bad. i feel it takes her about 5-10 minutes longer to do a rift on t1 than any of my other chars. got any suggestions on build? http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/raukolith-1578/hero/46105253

What damage stats should I go for as a summoner witch doctor?

Does Crit chance and Crit damage work on them? Does Attack speed work on them also?

crit dmg and chance should work, the recent patched made it so. Which is why the pet builds got popular.
Not sure about attackspeed.

If you want pet attack speed you should go for a tasker & teo gloves.

So how are you WDs doing your pets build after the new patch? I had the Zuni Mojo and Ring for the longest time and Armor/Boots wouldn't drop. But I hear mixed things about Fetish builds now, is Zuni (and StarMetal) still the way to go?

I also wrote off Dogs pre-patch but now they seems more viable. @_@

i still have dogs only for the life on hit, i dont currently have one of those "make a huge dog" rings, though.


I think for fetishes its either starmetal (and zuni if you can) with army OR sycophants.

FA is thougher and does more damage inherently and trough %skill damage and has better respawn against single targets (riftguardian)
FS has 15 pets up as long as there are enemy groups, less damage, squisier fetishes and has problems repsawning against certain guardians that1-2 shot them.


people say fetishes die faster now, but i didnt see that. They still tank most elite affixes like a boss and they still die to silly things like plants and meteors.





If you previosuly ran only FS like i did, this is a buff and you can probably up the torment slider by 1 point.
Foe sets, i currently run blackthorne (yes really) and i am trying to get 2 decent aughil pieces, but it refuses to fucking roll int.

I noticed zombie dogs die a lot more often. They use to live forever on t3 with full party, now I need jungle fortitude to keep them up on T4 and higher...

Also what's the best skill to replace vampire bats with?

i think its placebo effects, my dogs tank just as they did before.

this is how i play right know, i now my fethis skill bonus is useless right now, but ill wait for a blizz reaction first.
Currently trying to get more elite damage and get a new warzechian with physical xD


And im testing the new movespeed passive vs gruesome feast.
Gruesome with Death is Life has 3 stacks up most of the time if the rift doesnt suck, new movespeed passive is pretty fast.

So a third, non-repeating Zuni piece finally dropped for me and I can finally use the Zuni 4p bonus. The biggest issue for me atm is what to do with the Belt, Pants, Boots slots. I'm inclined to use what I have right now which is Harrington's/Witching Hour, Hexing Pants, and Ice Climbers. I'm planning to gamble for Zuni boots next (which will free a Ring slot for Tall Man's Finger or a physical SoJ whenever that drops) so technically that slot is filled, so that leaves Pants and Belt.
I have decently rolled Blackthorne's Pants/Belt but I don't think it'll be more effective than my current setup. Alternative option is Pox Faulds but again, not convinced.

The other issue I'm also having atm is the skill build. Because of the anti-synergy between Fetish Army and Sycophants, I've opted out of the passive. Zombie Handler is a filler 4th passive but I'm not sure what else is viable for that slot.

Thoughts?

you cannot gamble zunimassa's or other class set items.

haha, I read that on reddit last night but I didn't really get why TMF'd poison dog is better than say, fire dog.

Good thing I saved a bunch of poison gear, including Waders, back when I was deciding if I wanted to Cold or Poison Jade/Dot WD, haha.

i had a rally good fire SoJ where i could have rerolled to critdamage, but instead i rerolled it to physical because i really wanted to do T5.

Now i have found a good tallmans, and today i found the whole freaking zuni set withing 3 hours (and chest 3 times and mojo 2 times), so now i need a fire SoJ xD.
I comfort myself by telling me i wouldnt have found it without the physical SoJ in the first place.



Once i find starmetal or they fix fetish army, i can go fire build.
I dont see why you would want to go poison, though.

well, wrathful is very powerful.

dog with AE cant be wrong, too, as that is a pet doc weakness.


My other skills are just pet support, they do pityful damage and i dont think even 50% ele bonus damage is going to help them.
I use addling toads and piranha Nami ult for "damage".




phyical would be nice too if the garg physical rune wouldnt be so completely useless. Random enrage on a 2 minute cooldown, what the hell. Wrathful does 2x that damage and is 60 sec cooldown AND i can choose when i want it.

I mean, poison isnt useless, if i would find a poison SoJ, i would go for that, too
