Trying to figure out if I need to continue gearing up my WD or get one of my other chars mf'ed out.
Replace your weapon. For less than a mill, you should almost double your DPS.
Edit - FML, sorry man. My usual weapon when farming act 3 is an 824 dps knife with 65% cd + socket. That mf knife is only used when I am bored and lazy and wanna goof around act 1 or something lol.
Hey guys, this probably has an obvious answer but I figured I'd get more input. Would you take 5k HP and 50 All Resistance over 1.7 damage? To be specific, it's either 43k HP, +50 All Res, and 62.8k damage versus 48k HP and 64.5k damage.
I'm pretty sure the 5k HP and 50 AR is way superior, right? Build is Firebomb + Fire Pits, Dire Bats, Garg, Soul Harvest, Spirit Walk, Hex, VQ, PtV, and Spirit Vessel (also if anyone wants to give me input on my build, that's cool too).

After taking out those EHP stuff, you should still be able to facetank a few hits in A3/4. However, that small increase in damage isn't really worth it. If you trade off that amount of EHP for 5k+ dps, then I'd say it's worth it.
Sup guys, any other former Tank WDs in here? I played either a RoT-VQ Build or a Firepit+Spiderqueen+Grasp(Corpses)-PtV Build (both with other abilities that help to "tank" well > like Horrify with +Armor). I got like 50k HP, ~650 Resi all (incl. Resi from Int), 15k DPS, 1k LoH.
Now my questions: RoT still triggers LoH like it did before, right? But now i can spam it without VQ if i'm not mistaken (might add PtV then). Also might swap out Voodoo to finally pick up a summon for the summoner class. Does Big Stinker trigger LoH or do Burning dogs? Are there other LoH changes or even spells that are superior to the old pre 1.04 used LoH Tank spells?

You have stats of a monk O.o The question is, do you really need that much tankiness? With such stats, your pets are virtually indestructible, but with your dps it'll take forever to kill mobs. I have about 2/3 of your HP/allres but I am still able to take 2-3 stray hits when my pets are not attracting aggro or are dead.
Try to sacrifice a big chunk of survivability to increase your dps. The faster things die, the less you are required to tank. I don't think tanking is really viable nowadays; barbs gave up on tanking and are going pure dps with ww/sprint.
I have this now http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Skipper-2107/hero/269963 and 7½m gold. Any idear how I can make him better at grinding act3 (need more dmg) not sure if this build is the best, it aint really affected by crit so he dont scale well, but I can take a lot of hits. But I do NOT want to kite to survivie all the time

Shit you're tanky. It feels like I'm the only WD who runs around as a semi-glass cannon.
Now how to improve your dps: Get a weapon with crit damage + socket and put a star emerald (or better) inside. LoH is nice, but only really useful for reflect damage elites. Don't get hit =) Get a mojo with higher base damage. Your mojo has average damage, good int and average CC. Upgrade your jewelry. Stack crit/attack speed/int. Do the same with your gloves. Get a helm with more int. Helms can go up to 300 int; yours is pretty low. Get CC too. Same with bracers (except max int is 200) In general, get more int on your items. Get better stats + max sockets on chest and pants. These 2 items can go up to 300 vit, so a large chunk of vit should come from here instead. Stick the best gems you can make into the sockets.
I jumped on the WD-tank bandwagon long ago and don't want to leave anytime soon so i wont drop surviveability for a bit more dps (tanking ghom head on without even moving is fun even if it takes long). Pulled additional champs packs? Who cares - can't die.
My char: http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/dezi-2634/hero/693734 (blocking is fun - still need a better shield i guess). Why i'm asking here: i wonder if pets now might be more viable (easier to manage than and i could drop VQ) than f.e. Slam Dance / ... Also i'm not sure if RoT still is the best choice (not only LoH wise). F.e. corpse spiders now trigger LoH (not only the vase thrown), Flash Fire got buffed, ...

Right now I'd have to say no.
Pets tank really well with decent res, my pets rarely die in A3/4 with 600 res. Health globes heal pets up fine and with those res you can pick them up usually without getting rolled.
Life regen might be worth considering, maybe, but thorns no way, max thorns damage is 20k I think which is pathetic considering you'd have to be stacking loads and missing out on something somewhere. There are too many better passives I feel right now and pets really don't need the added survivability.
Personally Id have to say I'm considering making builds 'around' items rather than key passives. There is some new legendary which gives 20s reduced dog cool down, I think with added helm and passives you can get dogs to sub 10s cooldown which would make for a hilariously good sacrifice build.
Other than mana regen though it's hard to think up anything really all that interesting. Hoping the release new legendaries with more interesting build options.
You have a base 13s spirit walk, so you only have to kill ~10 mobs to get constant spirit walk.
Basically the playstyle is to just spirit walk from room to room, using acid cloud on everything. When you get to an elite pack, you can own it with zombie bears in just a few seconds. With 24% movement speed, this build can just fly through content like no other spec before it.
One cool thing about gruesome feast is that you can just spam zombie bears onto elites as they feed you health orbs for mana, damage and hp. It makes all elites really easy.
So i'm a 2h wd user and i have some question about attack speed and spell damage.
First of i'm wondering if attack speed affects pets damage, or is it based only of your weapon damage.
Second does atack speed afect DOT spells and if which ones.
Basicly i'm wondering if i use an slow 2h with a high base damage compared to an fast onehander with low base damage, will my pets do more damage and will acid cloud be more efective with it.

Been using very similar skills http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/WakaDoDo-2746/hero/15069941. Passives are very different tho(why/how does a wd play without SV!?). I intend to pick up a Thing of The Deep mojo which comes with 20pick-up radius, then I'll use GF/GI.
My builds has yielded really good results for me. Reflect damage mobs takes a little longer in A3 then elites without it, but thats about it. Pets and enchantress makes a fine crew. We and a couple of bears mow down A3 like no tomorrow.
I'm so so jelly of those prowlers T_T. Actually somehow threw out my real bracers and had to buy new crappy ones D:
How important do you guys think attack speed is? According to the ingame dmg then attackspeed is worth a damm lot, but I suppose it have 0 effect in how much my lob blob does for example (As I will run out of mana very quickly) and I would think crit dmg or avg dmg is more important then than attack speed?
