Any way to glitch to him without clearing the entire act? From siegebreaker, really.
The only thing that doesn't one shot me is shadow of diablo's normal attack, which left me around 5% hp. The important thing to know before soloing him is that you must not run near any edges (in both realms) so that he won't blink on you.
As you can see, I sacrificed a lot of damage/int/hp for movement speed, but then I realized that you don't need as much as 25% to be able to kite him around the map. I think 12% is desirable.

Haha. That explains it. I was dancing around the 2 gaps in the middle..... Okay time to rethink strategy.
Edit: Nooooo I lost my waypoint... Not gonna facetank all the way there again... -_- At least I killed Izual on my first try lolol.
Hey, I main Wiz but I want to try out WD. I'm almost Level 60 and about to hit inferno, what builds should I be trying? I'll be putting on my Wiz's gear and it's focused around heavy resists and hp. Currently have 550+ resists and 45k hp and a decent 38k dps (that's without force weapon). Are the items suitable for WD and what are the mainstream viable builds?
I use a 2-hander on my Wiz... Is that normal for WD?

WDs usually use one handers+mojo, but a good 2 hander would do. With this gear you should be able to clear a2 easily, even a3 but there it would be good to have 50k dps.
Meh, i don't know what to buy with my 6m - a good 2H with slow attackspeed but good and high damage and int and even loh or a new 1H. Pretty unsure right now (with 1.03 and maybe a IAS nerf inc). With 2H i might change my spec to a DoT / Bats build instead of Splinter+CC.
LoH is a king on fast weapons if you are not a glass cannon. Today after shopping I started enjoying every Cyde/azmo run, this game is actually fun and still challenging when you have near top end gear (500 res, 3k arm and 60k+ dmg). Suddenly things like picking up health globes, potions or hulking phasebeasts make sense.
Too bad it costs ~50m to do that, but it's worth it.

Man, i still couldn't upgrade any piece of my gear since the last time you saw mine (40k hp, 2800armor, 400+ res, 32k dmg). I have got 5mil on me and that is not enough to get a good 1h. Barely playing any D3 since last monday though.

I got up to 64K DPS + 9% poison dart OH mod going glass cannon (< 10K HP) then things started getting way too expensive for me to be willing to spend for DPS upgrades.
64K DPS is plenty of DPS against most stuff, so then I needed to decide whether to start upping survival (trying to get out of 1 shot range and into 2 shot range) or keep maintaining glass cannon but adding MF for better trash farming (will still switch to more MF gear for Elite killing).
I decided to go the glass cannon DPS + MF route since all I really want to do right now in D3 is farm Whimsy and keep building up gold and eventually look into possibly trying out different WD Inferno builds and finding out how much it costs to make it viable.
so I'm walking around with 60.8K DPS now, <10K HP, 76% MF (151% MF with 5 stack NV)
cost me 2.3M to get high Int/MF chest, legs, and belt. already had Int/MF boots & shoulders that I think I found some while ago. I figure it shouldn't be too hard to make back the 2.3M.
I'm not really looking into buying anything other than occasionally trying to buy low/sell high when I see a possible opportunity or upgrading my 985DPS/25 IAS sword to something uber awesome with 1K+ DPS, Int, and Crit damage but that will be expensive.
Thats an interesting idea, but still I think that mf on normal mobs isn't as effective, for whimsy glass cannon is totally fine, but after a week there you will be tired of killer flowers. I prefer mf gear switch before killing elite/boss. I think that farming whimsy and slowly upgrading gear for survivability is the way to go (thats what I did), now I can easily clear A3 champs, also I think that a3 might have better chance for 62-63 level items, but I'm not sure about this yet (In whimsy you get ~40% of items below 60, in a3 its lower)
Also CRT DMG on weapon is very good, socketted the best so you can slowly upgrade it to +100% crt dmg. With decent gloves, mojo, bracers, helmet you can easily get 15% crt rate or even get it to 25-30%
We’re fixing a number of bugs with Attack Speed, mainly related to the stat not working on some items, but we’ve also decided we need to reduce the effectiveness of Increased Attack Speed overall. Many players have commented that Increased Attack Speed is such a dominant stat they feel it’s required. While we don’t have an issue with there being important stats, Increased Attack Speed in particular has secondary effects on mobility in combat, resource generation and resource consumption. We want there to be options and considerations for how you gear up, and one uber trump-everything stat can really work against choice and options. There are two different solutions we’re considering to reduce the effectiveness of Increased Attack Speed. The first is to simply reduce the value on all the items to their desired values. In general our desire is to never change items as that makes them feel less concrete, but the upside is you would still be able to look at an item and know exactly what you are getting. The other approach is to change the formula used for attack speed aggregation so that stacking attack speed from multiple slots suffers from diminishing returns. The downside of that approach is that it introduces yet another hidden modifier on an item property (and many people dislike hidden modifiers), and complicates the already difficult decision of item gearing. We’re currently leaning toward the first solution, to simply reduce the value on items, but we’d be interested to read people’s thoughts on the problem.
WD cast animations are affected by attack speed. DH and Wizards cast animations are instant cast.
looks like WD has to wait until patch 1.1 to see how Blizzard will buff pets
Dont spread misinformation.
Attack speed affects cast animations for DH and Wizards as well.
So I have a question, if you spirit walk, and take 50% damage, are you then returned to where you started, or do you just become "mortal" again where your spirit are at the moment..
A *Spirit walk* --------------------> B
Basically, do you return to A or B when you take the aforementioned 50% dmg.

The latter. You get to B.
Nice, I wasn't using spirit walk on HC because I though it was A... Awesome
Did a Cydeae+Azmodan run video for you to see how does it look like to farm with high end gear with dart build. I may try VQ today and if it's better I may do another video (but I hate VQ and have low mp regen so not likely)
enable annotations for some tips/comments
You can find my gear in another video on my channel. Feedback will be appreciated (my first yt vids)

Did you upgrade any pieces in this video or is it the same gear as shown in the other video?

It's the exact same gear. Today I upgraded to 75k dps, +1,7k hp, -5 allres also VQ sucks for me, I don't have enough mana regen, it still might be slightly more dps output, but it's also more risky and I don't like it
Finally got to Inferno for the first time ^^ Played a little bit of Act 1 and so far it feels the same as Act 1 in other difficulties with the exception of much higher enemy damage output but I'm expecting it to just get harder later on. Based on what I've read, I should be focusing on pure dps and Intelligence rather than Vitality like in earlier difficulties.
Does anyone have any tips for me to keep in mind as I go on from here? Like what spells can make a difference and which ones should I avoid getting attached to? What mentality must I have? Before Inferno, I've been pretty reckless with Soul Harvest, GotD, Gargantuan, and Acid Cloud with Pierce the Veil passive. I'm guessing that won't work as well anymore though...
