would like to see it versus harder elite packs in A2 though and wonder if its still viable without spending tons of gold versus A3 mobs which hit harder than A2 will probably try this build one day once I have 10s of millions of gold and I'm bored | ||

My current weapon has ~650DPS but is pretty slow (1.20). Therefor it gives me a fair amount of int (248) and a bit of vita. I'm now unsure whether to buy a blue 950DPS weapon (with 1.40+ as) with no additional stats beside the damage or a ~800DPS weapon with a bit of life on hit and stats (kinda nuking myself when going vs reflect damage). My stats so far: ~25k damage, 43k HP, ~250 resi to all, 2.5k armor, 1.72attacks/sec. Could also try to grab some of those imba boots (only have movement on them so far) or bracers (lacuni). Kinda dislike those as helms without a socket. | ||

Kinda dislike those as helms without a socket. if you are using the Splinters build, get a weapon with attack speed the way the attack speed formula works is that it takes weapon attack speed multiplied by gear attack speed so let's say you have a 1.4 attack speed sword with a 25% increased attack speed and have 50% increased attack spread out over the rest of your gear the weapon attack speed would be 1.4 * 1.25 = 1.75 and the 1.75 attack speed would then get multiplied by 1.5 for an attack speed of 2.625 | ||

 SK is down with my splinter / locust build mostly. 19k DPS atm, how much u guys think ill need for butcher (25khp) to be able to solo him, and with what build?Up till now its been actually more easy then I expected, think I died once on the whole way to SK because I didnt think Id need my walk to get out of trouble ^_^ | ||

They are extremly strong against the Butcher, 100% viable against "whites" and still "okish" against most Elites/Champs. This changes extremly in Act 2 tho... But if you just want to farm some Gold in Inferno Act 1 --> Go Bears. | ||

Some questions: 1: Is it worth to pay 500k to unlock Hell Whimsyshire? 2: Is there a difference in loot quality between Warden/Butcher and Maghda? Is there a better place to farm in order to get higher quality loot? Consider my gear. 3: What should I upgrade with my limited cash (1.6 million), and what is a reasonable price for that upgrade? So here is a screenshot of my gear and my stats. I would switch dat axe for a dagger/knife/sword/spear for faster attack speed so you can dodge in act 2 better. Maybe get an amulet with crt chance+damage if you don't want attack speed on it. Also your helmet seems like 15k gold crap also act 1 farm isn't that bad, you can roll very good jewelery or gloves or other armor pieces (worth 1m+) | ||

I do die to the occasional projectile, but usually it's because I was too greedy or my "oh shit" buttons were on cooldown or misclicked (press horrify instead of haunt...) What stats on the helm do you recommend? I'll probably spend 1-1.5 million I guess. Paying 1 million to improve my dps by 500 (and lose 5k hp too) feels really silly. Are there good "benchmark" items that I can invest in, that I won't need to change for a while? | ||

Search for 1 handed daggers and ceremonial knives with 22%+ increased attack speed. A 1.88 attack speed dagger of the same dps as your wep would increase your attack speed by 58 ALONE which is more than all that attack speed gear you have been stacking. With your attack speed gear, that new weapon speed would bring you near 2.9 attacks per second and give you at least 10k dps more. I managed to get a good attack speed dagger for 800k but that was kinda a steal. You have to check the AH every 5 mins because the daggers/ceremonial knives sell so fast. | ||

I get 1-shot on a regular basis in A3. my WD is in A3 and has transitioned from trying to obtain a balance of resist, HP, and DPS for A2 to all out glass cannon and is currently at 61K+ DPS. I highly suggest sacrificing survivability (you already don't have much in A3) and just looking for gear that will up your DPS and attack speed, but keep the gear you completely A2 with because its a lot more convenient to be able to play and tank hits and A2 DPS doesn't need to be as high as A3 to make decent headway one thing you should definitely get though is 12% move speed boots + gear that ups movement speed like Lacuni Prowlers because the run speed definitely becomes useful since Inferno WD for most people is a ton of kiting get a weapon with attack speed though (preferably as close to 25% IAS as possible). it will up your attack speed significantly assuming you have other gear with IAS This is what I don't understand: what's the point of having 2.8+ attacks per second if each attack does next to nothing? If I can find a weapon on the AH with the same dps but higher attack speed, doesn't it simply mean that it attacks faster but less hard? your timing window for DPSing is wider. you have more chances to attack with higer attack speed whereas a lower attack speed might have needed more space to attack. this is especially important to me when dealing with elites/bosses 61K DPS @ 2.92 attack speed does plenty of Splinter damage albeit single target damage which is one the biggest issues with WDs in comparison to what Wizard/DH has imo since WD damage is 90%+ splinters (at least mine) Disadvantages are lower damage from zombie bear spam and greater mana drain. So what's the idea compromise between these factors? you can keep Zombie Bears if you want, but if your main DPS skill is Splinters, imo I'd give up Zombie Bears | ||
