What specifically gives you problems? Personally I improved a lot once i switched to celestial orb instead of tap the source. You can throw fewer of them, but it makes it possible (even easy sometimes) to kill the ranged classes running behind the front row, since those were my biggest problems my performance (meaning time i could play without getting killed) improved a lot.
Some deaths are not avoidable honestly, if you enter a zone/area and a champion pack spawns directly in front of you (happens a lot on stonefort) reloading the map is pretty much the only thing you can do until you are far better geared.
Not sure what I can tell you to help you, but both your stats and your gear seem fine. The only item you could upgrade easily (and definitly should) are your bracers. Try to get bracers with crit on top of what you currently have, since you have no crit on your items so far, that is an area where you could improve a lot.
Note that i am not sure if Glass Cannon is the best passive for you, I have Illusionist in that spot.

Haters gonna hate. Agree 100% with my man Dfgj, I'm at 36k life, 5k ish armor, and 600 resists, and the survivability is fantastic. (and it's not like I'm sacrificing much dmg at 62k, as well) I'm farming act 3 azmodan atm and I dropped mine down to 30k hp, 400 all resists, and 5.4k armor cause I really don't notice the difference. Hell, it's probably better this way at low vitality so I get more health back through health globes and health pots. I noticed I was getting 3 shot anyway by the really annoying spear throwers at 37k hp, 600 all resist, 5.5k armor anyway so I was like fuck it. Dots are the least of my problems with mirror image and teleport. I suppose reflect damage is more of an issue now though, but I think it's more due to my 80k damage than my own defense. I am aiming to farm Azmodan soon. Mind sharing the build you use? (skills) http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/wizard#RcQPSO!YXU!bYYZZYYou can swap out fracture with wormhole if that's your preference I suppose. I like fracture just so they can tank while I throw in some shots otherwise I'd get little time to DPS after the teleport. Personally, I think diamond skill is worthless past act 3 so I got rid of it. Mirror image helps me out a lot more. They get you out of prisons/frozen/debuffs, can tank projectiles for you, last longer, and they give you time to escape while the mobs are busy attacking the illusions.
Diamond skin is so good for azmodan runs. I would really hate to fight reflecting mobs without it, and it makes dealing with the dark power patches in the azmodan fight much easier. It is also very useful against the spearthrowers, since it allows you to take two additional hits. Plus it works very well with illusionist by resetting your teleport without getting you killed if something actually hits you.

Accursed champion mob with fast + invulnerable minions = complete BS. Can't run away fast enough, can't catch the champion to DPS him down.
It had other things too, but those 2 were what made it bs.

are soul rippers the tongue guys? I think they're probably my most feared enemy in the game

Yeah, but it doesn't help you escape any easier against fast/teleport mobs. It just buys you time for teleport. Illusions help you escape, can tank spear throwers as well, and also gives you time to turn around and shoot some orbs. Diamond skin also only absorbs like what... 2 shots now in act 3? And yeah, it would help on azmodan a lot more than illusion, but I practiced a lot and found a way to juke the black holes so I typically down him in 1-2 tries now.

The first 3 aren't near the pillars, they usually appear on the outskirts and don't chase after you. The 4th one and beyond try and predict your movements so you have to juke it. Like 2 seconds before the next hole appears you start running in one direction and turn around and run in the opposite. I have a lot of success with this when you can get the timing right.

Quick Question: How does weapon Damage % on a weapon affect my overall damage as a wizard?

My crit wizard is nearly ready. I'm aiming for 34% crit chance and 260% crit dmg with a little over 1800 int. I only have one IAS item (boj's anglers) everything else is really high crit/crit dmg. I'm still unsure if I should sacrifice my 13% life socket / 3% crit chance Andariels for a Stormcrow which gives me 10 arcane power per crit. I think it will scale better with my build. Sadly I didnt have the 14mil to spend on that 1350dps 60%crit dmg + socket 0.9speed mace which was on the AH last night. :D

Nope cannot be. Here an example:
![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/yNWnU.jpg)
Average Damage: (552 + 1073) / 2 = 812.5 DPS: 812,5 (average) * 1.67(attackspeed) = 1356, 875 (I don't know why there is a diverence to what diablo calculates)
So the DPS is just weapon base damage * attack speed.

Keep in mind that the %damage might already be factored into the 552-1073 (as in, it would have been 403-783 if it were a white item). I'm almost positive this is the case -- look at all the top-DPS weapon on the AH. They all have 40+% damage, which if you were correct, would be a crazy coincidence.

yeah that sounds reasonable, thank you
edit: yeah thats right. a weapon with IAS has the attack speed also already factored

Nah, the 552-1073 already factors in +damage% and +elemental damage, and attack speed already factors in +ias.

Andy's is the next choice, but my helm with arcane power on crit is pretty interesting and don't know if I should give that up. Maybe I'll just wait for the fix on the ias pants. I mean, after all attack speed is just there for faster animation, not really more damage at this point.
Also they're planning on nerfing attack speed modifiers. Not sure how this will affect what I'll do or if I'll go back to my 1 hander.
I'm apparently the only person on this forum with around 1.1 attack speed (right now it's 1.14). Why does everyone think you need more? I'm fine kiting against everything but something like fast with invulnerable minions. I'm also constantly AP starved unless I'm against an elite pack like that.
I think if you tried at a lower attack speed for a while you'd get used to it, and do much more actual damage.

OK, I got some awesome help from here how to gear up etc, and it boosted my dps from 22k to 34k. Ive got 1 million banked but I am not finding any wortyh items . What would you replace and what should i look for ?
