The only decent item I have right now is a 1060 DPS bow with 107% bonus crit damage so i imagine a critbuild would be the most beneficial for me. For the best endgame you want : Helm : Andariel's Visage 150+ dex, this is one of two helms in the game that gives attack speed, also has a crit chance bonus which is nice. Armor: Beckon Sail 130+ dex, one of two armors in the game that give attack speed, can have good dex as well(caps at around 12x with 3 slots, so 200+ dex). Gloves/Ring/Ammy: Aspeed/dex/crit damage. You can ignore crit damage if the dex is substantially higher, but if you are lucky enough to get one with all 3 stats at high amount then it will rape hard. Quiver: 17%+ aspeed, 150+ dex, 8%+ elemental arrow damage dead man's legacy. Or a yellow quiver with 15% + aspeed,180+ dex, 8%+ elemental arrow damage. Crit chance is another bonus if possible. Everything else is pretty much just dex as high as you can get it. Some parts can give crit chance, mspeed, but those are all just extras. If you can get the 4 items above along with a decent bow, then inferno will turn into a joke. Fuck man, 15mil a piece.... I feel like going back to DPS barb after all ._. You don't need good gear for DH if you have enough skill/patience. I'm about to fight Inferno Diablo without touching the AH (ok fine, I bought + move speed boots because I really wanted + move speed o_o) and crap drops (26k DPS). I'm not really interested in anything but being able to speedfarm as much equips as possible though, I'm not even going to touch DH until his farm speed is better than my warrior's act 4 Iskatu runs(12sec per)
Btw you don't think the movespeed/aspd bracers are necessary?

It hits large enemies multiple times (and all the bosses are large).

Also Nether Tentacles will pass through anything, making it excellent against invulnerable missions. The piercing shots seem to have a maximum amount of mobs to they can hit, so it is superior against horde/large amount of mobs aswell. It is also hilarious against the slow arrow thing on elite packs. The life leech is kind of nice against reflect aswell.
It just does so much damage against everything. The only downside is that they move kinda slow, but that has advantages aswell.

Has anyone tried this? I've been stacking on-hit effects just as a fun twist on the standard demon hunter. I use the puncturing rune on hungering arrow and just switched to the damage rune on caltrops. So many procs!
It's hilarious seeing "feared! stunned! frozen! feared!" as monsters try and walk through it. It's probably not the best build and I do miss the rooting rune on caltrops a bit, but it's getting me through some things in Act 3 that were a real pain for me before.
edit: also, does attack speed affect the caltrops damage?

Right now im using a 1k dps xbow. I am looking to upgrade to either a ~1k xbow with a socket (for crit dmg) or 1.2k dmg xbow. What do you guys think is better ? I guess it would depend on the rest of my gear?
|
caltrops are based on weapon damage so if the ias is on your wep yes it will be lowered, on your gear all good.
|
guys is it possible to do inferno with 300ms delay? how do you guys handle the fast and teleporting mobs?

Really depends on how much crit you have, and just how high a green gem you're going to throw in there.

doesn't tick any faster just does less damage. IAS on wep = bad, IAS on gear = Good.

Inferno Shadow Diablo T_T. This might take a while.

SS then run, the shadow will despawn

the best way to see just how good nether tentacles is, is by using it against a missile dampening pack. it's hilarious casting 10 nethter tentacles, and they all stack as one, and then they absolutely destroy the mobs as they slowly pass through each unit

I've been going at it for about 30 minutes now and having to go through the first phase every time is super annoying.
