switch sharp shooter to perfectionist. Get shoulders with high ar and preferably vit and life%. I bought some with 160 dex 90 vit 75 ar 12% life for 15m 2 days ago. After that, you have a couple of options. You can get inna's pieces with ar or vit on them. A belt should be quite cheap, around 15-20mil. Pants probably around 30mil for some with decent vit. Nat boots with vita aren't that expensive either, 20-30mil depending on stats. Other options would be to swap your andy for a mempo which would increase your survivability a LOT at the cost of 4.5% crit, or trade your lacunis for some rares with dex/vit/crit/ar.

ok thanks to all that gave some advice will see what i can do in eu ah

Personally I'd get rid of the windforce for a xbow w/ socket. Drop the all resist on boots and gloves for more dps, get crit and crit damage on gloves. Get crit on the ring w/o any and get more crit and crit damage on your amulet.

yes they do, hungering arrow and elemental arrow are the most precious - with multishot and entangling second. rapid fire and bola are the least desired one's since hardly anybody uses this skills. i don't know about cluster arrow, even with a perfect -5 hatred roll it's doesn't make that much of a difference if one shot costs 50 or 45 hatred.

Using the tips on this thread as well as the personel tips from pokebunny (thx again ) i was able to pimp my dps yesterday by 35%. Didn't know quivers are that cheap. First i looked for a cheap DML, however, DML is only an upgrade compared to rares if you get one with 17+ ias and hungering or elememental arrow damage. And if you want one of those, you pay 8 digits woth of gold. As that was way out of my range i switched to rares and got one with 260 dex, 150 vit, 8,5 crit, +8 discipline and 15% mf for 250k. How can they be so cheap? I never found anything compared to this, so drops like these can't be soo common and the same stats on a gauntlet would cost 8 digits as well. Is it just cause only demon hunters use quivers? Compared to that, my new pants with 80 dex, 165 vit, 73 ar and 2 sockets did cost 1.2 million, it does not compute.

did the quiver you wound up getting not have any ias increase?

Are the formulas for the demon hunter skills known? I'd really like to know what exactly a skill like strafe or rapid fire does.
Shoot at random enemies for 156% weapon damage. Rapidly fire for 276% weapon damage. Is this 156/276% weapon damage per second? It is certainly not 'per shot' as the individual hits do very low damage. And how does weapon speed effect strafe and rapid fire?

Yeah, my bad for forgetting the ias :D

The Quiver was 250k, thebracers 1,2 or 1,5m, don't recall correctly. How does that kind of stuff happen? Maybe the seller made a mistake, but other quivers with similar stats were at 500k.
To different things. Pokebunny advertised Devouring Arrow + Loaded for bear/ball lightning as damage + ss/tumble + preparation + gloom + bat or sth supporty as last skill.
Now, i was never very god equipped and struggled with inferno quite hard. The thing i learned was, that kiting is the only way to approach the game without a group. And with now slow in the build, i feel you die a lot. Additionally, i feel like skills like loaded for bear might deal terrible damage, but that damage is really hard to deliver. Stuff like scavengers come to mind. I can only recommend frost arrow to every dh that just entered inferno and hasn't found a solution. The damage is not as bursty, but it finds it target and makes them never connect with you. It's pretty cheap as well, freeing your hatred for stuff like multishot. The killspead is low, but it's very safe. Not suitable for groups, as you need more bang there.

Hi All, My first post on TL - Joined finally after a few years of lurking.
Any how, i recently started playing D3 again since 1.05 and im having some serious fun again!
Im looking to gear up my DH, to farm Uber Bosses at lv 5-6, however i dont feel im ready for that yet, and would like some pointers as to what gear to go for next, and what to aim for genrally (eg, more DPS or All Res)
my Profile;
http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/SepH-1101/hero/5740829
So recently i switched my legacy Nats helm/boots with Andariels/Gold Item to boost my unbuffed DPS, as someone in chat said my DPS was way to low (about 60k) however, i could always survive a fight by gloom/vault. Now i have a higher DPS - stuff is dieing quicker, but i feel a lot more vunerable, as i cant Gloom at will / Vault out when in danger.
I know i dont have a large Dis pool but was wondering which option you would take:
i dont have tons of gold - Invest in slightly better Nats gear - i may be able to add about 100 dex with my budget ( would add to the boots as they have no Dex roll) cant see this giving me much more DPS - but keeps the survivability.
Add more Dis (quiver - maybe chest piece, sell all Nats legacy and buy new Chest/Boots with a Dis roll???)
Many thanks guys , also looking for some people to do some Infernal machine runs ( have done 0 so far but have 3 machines ready, and at mo 100k dps unbuffed and 45k life 400 all res)

In my opinion 30disc isn't enough so you should really get some more, either on your chest or on your quiver. But I would recommend that you buy a new quiver since yours isn't that good except for the high dex. As the poster above you mentioned, you can get pretty good quivers with crit chance and max disc at very low prices. Also emerald aren't that expensive anymore, so you should upgrade your crit dmg on your weapon. If you combine this with gloves that have crit chance + crit dmg, you should gain at least 20k dps, which is really a noticable gain.
edit: generally with 400 AR and 45k life you should aim for more dps. you can also get rid of some of your defensive stats if you switch night stalker to perfectionist. I don't feel the need to have that extra discipline regeneration because 38-40 discipline will help you to survive most of the fights.
