Did you turn on advance tool tip? also elective mode? As far as I know Wizard spell damage is calculate from DPS, and the speed of the weapon is also matter. I checked poison dart on my WD and the cast delay scales with attack speed. However I'm curious how minions, DoTs or cooldown based abilities are affected. - Are there already some theorycrafting/testing threads regarding the game mechanics somewhere?
On a side note, flat damage increase, e.g., 2-4 damage on rings, seems to be much more powerful than base stats, e.g., int, in the early levels (should be fall behind later, if the general base damage increases if I'm not mistaken).

During installation, when it says "playable", is it really playable? Or do i have to wait till the full installation?
Edit: Thank you, Capche.

Is there a way to make the chat window bigger, or split the messages into several separate windows (like party chat in one and whispers from friends in another)?

I don't really know if this qualifies as a simple question, but I didn't want to open a new thread.
1. Can someone provide me with a link telling me how wizard spells scale with weapon damage and int etc. 2. How best to itemize a wizard? (I'm 43 right now with a Barb and Monk friend and they seem to scale so much better.
Thanks

Dont play @ playable because the cinematic will sutter alot or even buffering forever. After that when you go ingame, there are many place you have to stop since the game need to download the neccessary data.

The same as other classes. All your abilities do damage as a percentage of weapon damage (enable advanced tooltips in the settings if you don't see these percentages). Upgrading your weapon is a good way to boost your damage output. Int increases your overall damage output by a percentage, the percentage being proportional to the amount of int.
On your character screen is a "DPS" value. This is the amount of damage that a 100% weapon damage ability would do per second if it's used continuously. Divide it by the number of attacks per second (found on the details tab) and you get your weapon damage modified with stats and passive skills. If a skill tooltip says it does 200% weapon damage, you just double the value you found to find the amount of damage the skill does.

Can't get enemy health bars/numbers to show up, just the standard mouseover one at the top. Have all the options > gameplay > hud boxes checked. How do I fix this?

Does anyone know of a list or something that list all possible random dungeons and the locations that they spawn in? Would make it easier to farm the achievement.

there is a keybinding to show/hide enemy health bars. if you pressed it accidentally then they dont show up even if you checked the boxes in the menu. i think the default key is "V".

Thank you so much. I didn't know about the advanced tooltips thing - that really helps me a lot.
edit:
So another follow up question. How do percentage based bonuses stack? I especially want to know this for Intelligence and the talent Glass Cannon. I get like 800% increased damage from Int and 15% from talents, so do I have just 815% or do the 15% from Glass Cannon apply after the 800%? (If it is 815% this talent is just so bad...)
edit2: I'm a bit too tired it seems, I can test this for myself of course. For all of those interested, Glass Cannon is applied after Int (in my case basically 1.15x8 damage multiplier).

Yeah, I recommend playing around with the "damage" attribute a lot, you can sometimes be really surprised how items/passives etc change it. I had a good rare weapon with a lot of +int, then found a decently meh blue weapon without +int, but I noticed when I equipped it that my damage was vastly improved because at that point, white damage did so much more for my overall damage than my int.

Is the Witch Doctor's Circle of Life passive working as intended? In my experience the percentage to spawn a zombie dog is closer to 0.5% than 5%.
|
Monks... I'm confused regarding what weapon to use.
Shield or no shield? only class specific?
For example what would be the drawback of going with sword and shield?
What are the benefits of having 2 weapons rather then weapon+ shield? Is it just a slightly faster attack speed?
|
You attack faster. There's also a 15% dodge passive while duel wielding to make up for lack of shield.
