Team EG has just announced the signing of DeMusliM to their StarCraft II team. He's departing his former team mTw after being acquired by EG for an undisclosed sum.

Baker, which was one of two invited European representatives at BlizzCon 2010, is departing his former team mTw after being acquired by EG for an undisclosed sum.
DeMusliM is the first player from Evil Geniuses to compete in the European StarCraft II league EPS and will be joining his new teammates Greg “IdrA” Fields, Manuel “Grubby” Schenkhuizen, Geoff “iNcontroL” Robinson, and others in competing both nationally and internationally in 2011 under the Team EG name.
“I am thrilled to announce that henceforth I shall be playing under the prestigious Evil Geniuses banner. I would like to thank the mTw management team for all their support, encouragement, and their professional cooperation during my transfer. Also, I would like to wish my friends (ex-teammates) a very successful year unless of course they face me in upcoming tournaments!” Benjamin remarked.
“We are very excited to welcome Ben to the team,” commented Alex Garfield, Executive Director of Evil Geniuses. “…there’s no doubt [Ben] will not only be a perfect fit for Team EG, but also an essential part of the team’s continued success in 2011.”

Nice pickup by EG. I suspect this is part of getting a team house going in Korea. Don't know how willing current EG players are to committing several months to trying out for the GSL, but DeMuslim has already shown he is willing to move to where the action is. No matter what the reason is, demuslim is a superb player, and I think he will do well on eg.
quick, get him coaching so i can buy TvT lessons from him, then proceed to rape everyone (including Ben) at IEM Kiev!! :DD Gl tho !! would be cool for him to go to Korea
are you forela? Big news and great change.. Demuslim will be satisfied. Team EG is a great team with great publicity. The only question I have now is : "Demuslim to Korea?".
So that was what they were hinting about. That's pretty big, well done EG :O Though I hope mTw will find some way to fill the gap as well, I do like those guys.

He's friends with a few EG guys, and I know that he's practiced with some of the American members long since beta, so no, that's foolish to say thats his ONLY reason for switching.

a fucking banner
banners rule though
EG has banners for all their news posts, its epic hahaha

this is good, I was affraid demuslim wasn't going serious for sc2 but now it looks like he is awesome person, he deserves this chance! too bad he wont appear on esltv I guess?

Its an undisclosed amount for a reason lol. Basically since he was still signed to mTw, EG has to pay a transfer fee, as well as the probable signing bonus and/or salary he receives from EG.
DeMuslim is a lovely guy, and a capable commentator. He's a nice addition to EG. With Machine, they are two of the nicest gamers around. I just hope he's going to teach some manners to Idra.
After so much talk about the EG house in Korea, and then suddenly EG recruits DeMusliM, I don't think that's a coincidence. I'm certain he'll be heading to Korea. Would be so awesome to see him attend the GSL! Can't wait for this EG house to actully happen, and It's quite exciting to find out about the roster for who'll be attending it!
Man this is gonna be great. Always figuered demuslim to be able to achieve greatness if just backed up by the right team. This is exciting. Wonder where he'll go.

Aw shit, would have been awesome to see Demuslim in the next GSL.

That would've been very hard to achieve anyway. He'll have to get a KR account and ladder very hard to even get a chance at obtaining Code A status.
Second best EG player after IdrA, which is perfectly fine. EG is building a great team now. If they want to hit Liquid proportions they should drop some players though, which sounds mean but is probably necessary.
Jinro and HuK are the most accomplished players on Liquid, the other players haven't really done much (although Ret is probably going to destroy everyone in 2011)

anyway i think EG will make him improve alot gl Ben
GSL Stream not good enough for you?
compared to rotti+demuslim on esl tv? hell no
haha, agreed, their casts were pretty much the best thing to happen to SC2 so far. Still, I wouldn't mind seeing him korea. Imagine a team house in Korea with Idra, Grubby (hasnt done anything yet I know), Demuslim and then like Machine and Inka, maybe some more Americans. That would be pretty sick.

*facepalm* Liquid has quite a few Beasts ... TLO Tyler are really awsome players.. just becuase they "haven't done much" in your eyes doesn't change how fucking awsome they are....
If you see Liquids lineup its pretty fucking stacked.
EG house will hopefully be up and running mid Febuary. I would imagine it will take 6 weeks for the guys to mostly adjust to the Korean gameplay differences/settled. So March/April is when I would expect to see team EG really doing well in sc
Oh shit. Guess that means we can potentially see DeMusliM in Korea. Not to mention, does that mean mTw.SC2 is restructuring? Could mean that NaVi is finally making their SC2 team and DIMAGA will be apart of it.
Hmm interesting he left mtw. I can't think of anyone else major on that team besides dimaga. But this is great for EG, they already had the best foriegn zerg, and now easily one of top 3 foreign terran? TL better look out

Just wait for their match in the GosuCoaching Premiere League
Yeah I can't wait for this, I think Liquid has a more solid overall team since their lineup top to bottom is so epic, but EG has some super strong players lol
EG is looking fairly robust atm. idra still the clear front-runner but they're getting to be a pretty stacked team. grats demuslim/eg, this is gonna be huge.
Hehe I predicted this about 3 months ago, I let it slip and his clan mate ask demu if was true, they got back to me and said noo don't be silly but looky looky now ^_^

didnt he already joined RoxKis ? or am i totally misinformed ?

Confused. Is it Dimaga or Demuslim that Idra raves about constantly?

Ugh, you need to become more familiar with the pros. Dimaga is a Zerg, Demuslim is a Terran.
And Ret is the Zerg that Idra brags about constantly. (Idra's said good things about dimaga as well, however i believe that Idra is more fond of Ret.)
Idra thinks Dimaga is very solid when he plays his macro game, but he says that dimaga goes through periods where he gets really cheesy and goes all in alot, which he doesn't like.

Hopefully he'll come do some MLGs now that he has EG sponsoring him. Don't get to see him much out here in the US since he only plays in Germany. Maybe move to the Korean EG house once they get that up and running?
I really saw that coming, with mTw unwilling to send some of their guys to Korea. Ben already said he would love to go there. So EG probably give him the opportunity to do so. I think he can compete. He showed good games at Blizzcon. I also think he's more talented than Jinro, and omg, he did improve a ton.
GSTL, No problem-O. If EG sends over all their guys for one concerted push for it, they shouldn't have much of a problem qualifying their team for the team leagues.
EG might just become a noticeable team in SC2. Now they need to merge up with some Korean team and get pulled out into global leagues. To be realistic, Idra won't survive in code S without proper team practice.

EG is already noticeable for sc2 just because of how good they were in BW. So they don't really need to worry about that
Long time lurker (had to start to post some time), just posting to say: awesome news! Possibly 1 of the best EU Terrans and the one with the most potential. Would love to see him go to Korea.
Its weird to read that they actually bought him out of his contract with mtw. But I guess DeMuslim is worth the money. He is not only handsome but also a freakin good and never boring Terran.
Gratulations DeMuslim, I guess thats the next step for a more international (or intercontinental) carrer.
DeMusliM is currently casting on esl tv and said that he will stay in Germany and play EPS, but there will more in the future not only involving germany, and that is all he could say about it
EG is building itself a great team. demuslim is easily one of the best terrans outside korea. i'd love to see some more foreign terran powerhouses like Jinro being sent to GSL to show the koreans how to play terran properly.
A few days ago Demuslim wrote to (mtw)Rine that he will probably leave mtw soon. I thought that he consider to leave mtw and now I read that he already joined EG. Oo Wish him of course good luck and that he'll kick ass with EG
EG has needed a 2nd terran for a longg time so this is a great move (shame someone like QXC is in school since I think he would have been an amazing choice as well).
Isn't Tasteless on EG? I thought he mentioned something about being the leader of the StarCraft team in a GSL cast. Perhaps he is more of a coach than a player, can anyone clarify? Thanks.

Both myself and Tasteless fulfill different managerial duties within the team. I'm the division manager for Team EG's StarCraft II team while Tasteless works on different projects for us in Korea along with promoting our brand.
He's been hit or miss in the times that I've seen him. For instance yesterdays bo3 that was on glhf vs GoOoDy in TvT he was completely outclassed... maybe it was just a bad game? Hopefully he has a lot more to show and they were fluke games.

well you see demuslim is kinda overrated :S he hasnt shown any decent results anywhere, not very active in tournament only ladder so yeah.

Goody is a very strong player and Demuslim's TvT isn't the best.
And Demuslim just haven't played too much in small tournaments, but he got 1st place at the EPS round robin, losing a game only at the Playoffs, he also won a 5000£ tournament in England and the TaKe's tournament, which had some of the best European Players.

He´s pretty sick @ the moment, as far as i know ... ( bad cold)
Is it me or id DeMusliM an astonishing player who doesn't get shown out much? I love it when he plays tournys on EU server. Hope to see more from him :D
