The DDR2 666 is kind of a waste of money, i would've gone with DDR2-800, or even 1066, its pretty cheap. Not really, If you are looking at the old Intel set up where the memory controller is not integrated with the cpu, like AMD has been doing for years and now i7 and i5 line up, Getting Ram with extra bandwidth over your CPU does little to jack dittly zip to improving performance. 3 gigs is odd i dislike 2gig then 1 gig set up it's very laptop ish or 3x1gig sticks which is just lol, also means non dual channel, overrated yes but it's like to use. E7500 FSB native is 1066 and not going into detail about how bandwidth is determined just divide the FSB by 2 1066/2=533Mhz is all that is needed for ram speed to run that cpu at full. Really 666Mhz ram is more then enough for that E7500 non OCed Although 666Mhz flat instead of 667 is what err 333strap and bahh i can't think but i think it's been strapped weird something like 400 on FSB to Dram blu balh beh Laptop makers have known this for years it's why laptops usually scrape the bottom on bandwidth for their ram as it is cheaper and anything in excess does not make it really go faster with he exception listed above.
OK I GOT IT. ram that is labeled as ddr2-1066 actually runs at 533mhz bus speed but sends 2 transfers per clock. hence 533 x 2 = 1066. the ram itself isnt really running at a 1066mhz frequency just a 1066mhz data rate(?). so his friends ram is actually running at 333mhz bus.
i hope that makes sense, i'm not so sure about this myself.

I can see low/medium, if it has a fan and you have a laptop cooler you might be able to get away with some moderate overclocking to squeeze a few more fps out of the game.

I'm kind of iffy on that. Should be perfectly fine at max low and medium settings, but don't expect to max out a game that by all accounts is pretty good looking on such a low-end system (celeron dual core? ick)

To anyone getting ready to build a SC2 computer, I suggest you wait a bit longer:

If this really does work as advertised, you should be able to buy a motherboard with 2-3 gpu slots in it and be able to upgrade your computer at a later date by adding, not replacing your old gpu, to the motherboard. It also means you can use your current gpu, if you have one, in combination with a newer one for more power than either by themselves.

this is a low-end hp laptop that i just bought for school; i'm 95% sure sc2 won't run on it due to the graphics card being integrated, but because i'm relatively stupid about these things, i needed to make sure and to confirm my disappointment here =(

While your video memory is too low to max out on higher resolutions (although i'm iffy about that, the gts 250 is just a rebranded 9800gt, so its video performance will obviously be good, but 1024mb would be optimal), if you play on 1440x900 or something like that you should easily be able to max it out.
