why do my balls itch so much? [help]

It's like the epitome of itch just absorbs itself into the being of my balls and no matter how much I scratch it just keeps staying itchy. It's a faint itchy feeling that I go down to scratch but as soon as I do and the more I scratch the more itchy It gets. I take really deep long scratches mind you, and even though its pleasurable, its also a bit torturous. I'm being entirely serious here by the way. Has anyone ever had experience with this before? Any known remedies?

JohnColtrane Australia4813 Posts July 19 2008 05:12 GMT #8 do you shave down there? do you wash and clean them? i dont know man, the only time ive ever had a 'serious' itch down there was around the pubic region and it was just razor burn that i kept scratching. have you tried using an cream or some soothing balm or something? i think its best to get a doctors advice just in case its something bad like necrosis of the ballsack

Teatree oil is good for killing it, and to keep it from coming back, just keep the skin dry. Wear clothes that breathe and use powder as needed. edit: And stop scratching! Scratching is an instinct to protect against larger parasites. Microorganisms exploit it through irritation to get you to damage your skin and make it easier for them to colonize.

You can probably get a non-prescription anti-fungal cream at your local pharmacy (CVS or whatever). Should help, and it's probably cheaper than seeing a doctor. As was suggested before, wear clothes that breathe. Dry well after showers, etc. If it doesn't clear up after a week or so of treating it, then see a doctor. If it's something else... see a doctor.

lejason 57 Posts July 19 2008 06:03 GMT #20 thx for the help. i think its a combo of fungus scratching and shaving. ill see a doctor, but i want to wait till some hair grows back, thats the reason why i avoided the doctor, cuz so little hair is embarrasing lol. Funchucks thats interesting, sounds like something out of the selfish gene.
