I guess there isn't any requirement for introduction for how toxic the SEA server is. It is bad enough for Fnatic to just destroy the entire SEA scene and get knocked out in NYC by terrible teams like DC because as Black says "the plays are not mature enough" (What a nice way of putting it. Recently Valve has added a new server for the Japanese people and I see how it is fair for SEA to not get a similar separation of servers. Relatively the quality of DotA in Korean and Chinese servers were decent and they didn't really deserve such previlege(?) of a separate server for Japan. Sure Europeans has Russians and US has Peruvians but come on, SEA dota has everything, pinoys, indons, malays. That's like amalgamation of toxic races to play as a team when their talent only lies in flaming each other. Aui's advice of having good pub mentality and W33ha's way of muting everyone just to focus on the game does help, but there is a limit to how well you can ignore the regular toxicity. Bad plays are fine but just flaming each other regardless of playing how well they play is just toxic to the entire community. If that happens like 8 out of 10 matches, one would rather play with 120ping in Dubai or Australian servers. Honestly Valve should separate the SEA region for the sake of SEA server's development and dedication to DotA. Pinoys can have their own server (LIKE PLEASE THOSE GUYS PLAY ON 50 PING AND LAG ALL THE TIME TOO) and half the problem should be solved, Singaporeans and Malaysians tend to have better mentality and a more "mature" approach to the game. I tried my best not to sound mad but truth is it is frustrating to try to have fun and improve in SEA server when you lose to bad players because you have worse players in your team half the time and even worse, the bad manners and flames that occur way too regularly. Just give pinoys their own server like Japan, let them rot in one server together and really no one gives a fuck what happens to them. Promise you, SEA server will be half as toxic(which is probably normal toxicity? LOL) and you'll see a general improvement in the standards too.
What are your thoughts fellow DotA players?

Give Pinoys their own server, ban them from other servers and all of SEA server's problems should be solved. I don't have much time to play Dota now and the few games I can play are ruined by Pinoys.

Extra severs wont help. Every single SEA countries has assholes. Also other countries that search on SEA also have assholes there too.
What Valve needs is to be more ban heavy with their muting/LP punishment but these wont happens as customers are cashcows. You don't want to frighten them away. So SEA will awlays be a a toxic swampland of twitch chat wannbes until the sane paying customers walk away from DotA. Which is another fat hope

True that but my point isn't removing toxicity, it's just halving it, and my solution is a server for Pinoys and them only so that they play with 5ping and fuck off from SEA servers to leave Singaporeans and Malaysians in peace.

If Dota completely removes the ability to all chat 90% of the cancer would leave.

Toxicity spreads. Either you start muting all or you start retaliating and become an asshole yourself. No sane human being can put up with the bullshit SEA server has.

You're actually a fool if you think that your country isn't full of flamers. Every goddamn server i've played are full of flamers. I doubt those i haven't don't have one.
Even EU server who's supposedly has the least toxic players i still encountered flaming retards there when i played there.
The flamegame is impossible to avoid in this kind of game considering it's incredibly competitive and teamwork is essential. Somebody is bound to blame somebody or blame some OP hero or item for their loses and hard times in the game.
Either you grow a thick skin and/or learn to mute people. Or learn how to manipulate/calm people ingame. Or quit the game if you can't live with it pretty much no point playing a game you can't enjoy.

Like the only reason i prefer playing on SEA over USE/USW is because i have 300 ping on those servers lol and even so i sometimes still end up playing on those servers cause it's just less cancer.
I think what makes it difficult is that people speak different languages and not everyone can communicate in english ending up in a total disaster lmao

Really feels like this should have just been in the QQ thread, it's not exactly new and I highly doubt that would fix the issues. Assholes, retards etc. are everywhere

I play on either europe west or austrailia server for this kind of bullshit. I'm too tired to even start a match in sea. Play dota to relax and have a good time with my mates, can't do that in sea. Anyway I hope that valve would at least try to make a different server for Philippines.
Another way is to make it 15+ so there will be less immature people playing. Now people might lie and say they are 15 but perhaps something like a identification card. (Would be way less players if so)
I went to the philippines a couple of times and I must say the people I met there are great. The pinoys that are playing dota is below 15. About 13/14 in age mostly... Those are the cost of the toxicity in dota. The people that are 12-13-14 of age, no matter what country are they from.
Sorry about my rant though, Just pretty mad about the situation in SEA.

Even if there's a ph server, It will not stop. Nothing is stopping them from queuing to other servers, unless you want valve to region lock ph players which I doubt will never happen.
Base on experience the worst time to play is 9 am - 9 pm. So I avoid playing on those times. Another thing I noticed is that the I've met less toxic people the moment I passed the 3k mmr bracket.

What a not-so-subtle racist thread.

pinoy server won't do shit. russian server exists since the very early days of dota and you can barely get a game on it. queue euw, get game in 3 minutes, everyone speaks russian. region lock is the answer but valve will probably never do that so ur stuck.

Like a big fat toggle in the options screen about all chat. And the ability to filter words and auto mute if people use specific ones. We have the power and the tech, someone just needs to build it.

If you only wish to play with other koreans or whatever group of people you consider isn't toxic, then just 5-stack with them.
If you can't find enough people like that to stack with, consider the problem that valve's matchmaking system has to solve and understand then why there are no region locks etc since valve can't tell ahead of time who you are going to irrationally hate and who you are going to get along with.

lmfao if you really think locking PH out of SEA server will solve your problems, go play league which has country-separated SEA servers. I guarantee you'll be ripping hairs out because of people flaming the shit out of each other just as much as in Dota.
Every nation has its own set of assholes.

Just use pings and alerts.
I swear people like getting mad at chat. There's no other reason all these people who supposedly find it so awful would engage with it.

People are love being outraged/angry without consequences(see twitter for further evidence). I have communicated effectively with my team through pings, notices and chat emotes. I don’t need to talk to these people to play a game of Dota. Sometimes it’s fun, but wouldn’t mind a switch to turn it all off.

Anyway, Valve have consistently chosen NOT to region lock and show no interest in starting now. In addition, this thread is a thinly veiled insult to a variety of people-groups mixed with MMR-hell logic "I can't improve cuz my team sucks". I'm closing it.
