Tuning will change, design/utility/mobility less so.
---
I ran the green max performance macro through a maw of souls and it performed extremely well without any kind of issue that would break gameplay
they also changed explosive orb affix with 8.0 so that the orbs are more visible (orange instead of fel green, just called "Explosives" and possibly larger)

yo cyro - i am not running a fixed 10/10 bfa setup or anything. if i would use your things from green in a macro - what do i have to do if i dont like the results and return to my normal settings?

Type or press macro that says
/console SET lodObjectCullDist "30"
Then drag environment detail slider to whatever value you want and click apply, which will change the other three values. Alternatively, write all four into a macro so that you can jump to whatever set of settings that you want with one click
If you want to see exactly what you have set right now you can do that by finding the variables in the cvar browser of AdvancedInterfaceOptions addon

New numbers for exp
![[image loading]](https://i.imgur.com/LaAZU94.jpg) last 10 levels confused me but that's BFA - just follow the yellow vs the red/purple at 0-110
Much smoother curve and reductions in the weirdest feeling areas since 7.3.5. Level 64 is the greatest change, requiring 1.256x less exp than 7.3.5 did

the performance one gives a nice boost but god it looks ugly - the other 2 are kinda the same performance wise to me (10fps apart ((ish))

It depends a ton on the area that you're in, going from high performance to gameplay macro can almost double FPS for me at times
The performance macro gives a bit more but it takes away basically all objects to do so instead of sparing some of the ones (particularly large and close by) which may be relevant to you. I'd default to gameplay setting or somewhere close to that in the open world, minimum setting is just for some dungeons or raid rooms that you can get away with it :D

gonna test the performance one next raid - thursday - might be the no graphics thing and boost in fps is without any loss of important stuff that u need to see (voidzones / abilities etc)
ran around with those settings in performance heavy areas in beta - performance one i would never really play with while doing outdoor stuff thou - wow is already not a pretty game and this worsens it by quite a bit =)
mind u - performance difference of 20fps is still huge etc - dont see much of a decrease / increase if i swap between the two "not performance" ones.

Explosives not really larger than legion. They grow in size as they continue to complete their cast. So will be larger at like the 75-80% mark of their cast.
Overall explosive has gone through 3 or so changes since this weeks keys. It at first wasn't even a threat as they were spawning as level 110 and 700 hp. This got changed mid pull for us in a key we were doing (first 2 explosives 110, rest after that 120 with 10k hp doing damage). That orb was around a few days and it got changed again to nerf their hp down to ~7.5kish base at 7 keys. Overall not too terrible outside of a few specific fights where they can spawn 50 yards away and explosives can also spawn more explosives.

Lordaeron
+ Show Spoiler +The actual assault was really cool, loved the path of destruction from the shore to the gates. It always confirms Baine and Lor'themar are no good guys and are a-ok with genocide.
I just wish they didn't do the last video. They know she's a banshee, but they make no magical precautions against her floating away? I hate fake face-offs like this. So many soldiers die, she kills 80% of the night elves, and you just let her get away like that. It's just awful Diablo 3 style story telling.

Does anyone have an idea how much BFA is going to impact gpu performance? Blizzard is now recommending the following specs for ultra settings: 60 fps 1080p- gtx 1060 60 fps 1440p- gtx 1070 60 fps 4k- gtx 1080
Blizzard literally went up a full generation for GPU requirements. As it stands, my friend uses a gtx 960 and gets 55-75 fps on ultra. Is blizzard actually enhancing the graphics to where the game requires these newer more expensive cards to run properly or are they not properly optimizing the game? Does anyone have any graphics comparisons available that I could look at? Any information would be helpful. Trying to get an idea if blizzard is actually improving the graphics or just de-optimizing the game to push people into investing new hardware. Also trying to get an idea if it would be better for my friend to purchase a second gtx 960 + SLI bridge to hold over depending on how much of an increase is needed. He isn't sure if he wants to keep playing @ 60hz 1080p or go up to 120 hz/1080p or 60-100 hz 1440p.

I play on 1440/60 (one of those sweet korean monitors that were the rage ~4 years ago) and have just upgraded from a gtx970 to 1070. In afterburner my GPU would be at 100% usage on settings 7 with the 970 but decent rates for the most part. I haven't gotten a change to game at all yet, but I can report back how much difference I find. I put the 970 in the wife's machine and she's getting 90+ fps so far on setting 8 with 900p monitor.

That song is allways good... And it fits so nice on top of it

Thanks a lot for the graphics setting Cyro. I struggled getting good fps, and putting the slider to 10, and your gameplay makes it for pretty smooth fps even in raids, except for when hero is blown and lots of stuff happening. F.ex after Kingaroth, the rocks falling takes a huge dump on the fps even with gameplay on (huge as it goes to 60 which looks awful since I'm using a BenQ 144hz monitor that I bought for csgo, which I'm not sure how to config for wow yet as in no gsync).
Before I had crap settings, and still had crap fps >D It's like a new game now
