very roughly vers/crit > mastery >> haste

Saw some discussion on reddit about 7.2 AP requirements, they seem quite extreme at the moment. Hopefully still WIP
AK scaling is now nonlinear. The intial levels (26, 27) are massive with AP doubling as you go to 26, increasing another 1.5x as you go to 27, 1.33x as you go to 28.
Around 29-31 the levels are what we're used to but beyond that they get a lot smaller - by ak40 you're waiting 5 days for a +6.67% AP modifier.
For AK's before 25 the scaling was roughly an extra ~1.25x AP per level all the way through

I don't mind the Ap grind in 7.2 being long. I mind the paragon points, I HATE those. Why do they have to be a thing ?

90% of the work comes from the paragon points but you can't really ignore a +20% damage multiplier. Going from 35 to 54 at the moment is +9% damage.
Without them it takes about 100 dungeons at ak40 or 1600 dungeons at ak25.. that order of magnitude seems much more reasonable IMO.

It's not even about the time to get the paragon, it's just, they're so uninteresting, that's why they feel so much like a grind.
I like getting new traits. The new Revival or SEF CD reductions traits look fun as hell to have, but I really don't care about griding a point each day or so for +0.5% damage and +0.75% health each =|

Guy in my raid last night had the BiS Demo Legendary drop for him, but he never plays anything but Destro.
Listened to him bitch about it most of the rest of the night while I sat there looking at my Pyraz and the CC ring.
Pretty sure WoW gods are taunting me.

You should blame Blizzard for putting C'thun in charge of legendary drops.

Well a druid in my guild just got his third legendary in 10 days (2nd, 3rd, 4th). Meaning while I havent seen one in over a month =/
|
We had a priest who got two in one day, and they were like his 5th and 6th or something silly.
I got my third a couple weeks ago. fortunately my first two legendaries were BIS at the time (belt and pet damage ring), but now I need shoulders for the ability that should have been baseline in the class (dire beast/frenzy charges)

I can deal with lackluster legendaries, but having to farm m+ is seriously getting on my nerves. I did over 30 BRH runs and still haven't gotten the trinket I need and Blizzard decided there should be no mana trinket for disc in Nighthold, so this really is my only option.

Or you just go with stat sticks like all healers do.

Disc is also not your traditional healer that just has to cast less with better gear, so you save mana. I will always have to expend a significant amount of mana to heal.

Yeah you are right Disc mana requirement is different. Just wanted to point out that healers generally dont have good trinkets except for the legendary one.

The Cake trinket is actually very very good on some healers. On Monk, given how much versatility we run, it's BiS by a large margin. I have a 900 Mythic one, and with my 17% vers, it shields 6 people for 860k. Pretty good.

Seen a lot of people using cake trink. I wasn't sure how the mechanic worked, looks like it's autoshield for running close (10yrds)
It quickly runs out of charges and doesn't have a visual update for amount of charges so i was confused by seeing an unclickable cake on the ground and getting no shield from standing on it. Now that i know that it's doing its thing i'll watch out for the buff (weakaura?) and healing meter % :D

Doesn't have charges or anything actually. When the healer click on it, it drops the cakes at his feet, instantly puts a shield on 6 ( max ) people near you for 12sec. The cake on the ground is just visual at this point.

AFAIK the cake sits on the ground for 20 seconds, shielding people that walk close within that time. It won't put out more than 6 shields and might not be able to shield the same person twice so the behavior changes based on previous activations (limited charges)
Am not an expert though, just going from some confusing personal experiences and wowhead comments

I actually still need to test that, I thought it couldn't give shields after the inital activation

Yeah I have the cake at 885. It is not bad, although it depends on the boss. Quite possible that it has charges you can get later but does not really matter. It has rather large range so the moment you put it down it shields you and 5 others. And that is how you want to use it anyway, you dont want someone having to run to it and you want to determine the moment it shields.
Made good usage of it at this Chronomatic Anomaly fight :
https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/vmk98wMHqrPzRyBA#fight=21&type=healing&source=2
Used 3 times for about 4 mio shield each time.
Still not the biggest fan of it. Often the pure numbers make it look better than it actually is. When putting it in a large group it is just random whom it hits and if big raid dmg is healed these 6 people would often have been aoe healed for free anyway. And mastery sucks ofc for MW. I just dont like it does nothing for my heal when on cd. So I dont think it would make much sense at Krosus for example.

For 5-man content it's unlikely that everybody is within range (10 yards) unless you call for it. You can also shield everyone, no random there.
With an audio alert on a weakaura you should be able to tell if the cake has already shielded you (no more interaction possible) or not (can run over to cake and get a nice shield)

Yeah ofc 5 man is an entirely different thing. You would also not use mana trinkets there etc.
