The limiting factor as it stands is the 36 token limit. That's the only thing that's going to keep token prices close to sane.

In Europe the rate will be 1 token = €12.99 / £9.99 of Battle.net Balance. 35% tax on Euro, 33.33% on GBP and 25% on USD. Why the different rates?
US and EU both spend 20 currency, US gets 15 back and EU gets 13 back - there are a bunch of cutoffs where US can buy something or some combination of things with 1 token but EU needs a second token because they fall 2 euros short.
They seem to be saying that euros are worth more, so take less of them; meanwhile the prices in the store are 1:1 Euro:USD. Stuff doesn't cost 13 euros or 4.33 euros; they cost 15 or 5, so you can't buy as many (or buy at all) with one token.
The taxes also seem high across the board, high enough to encourage people to bypass the system. They can either go through blizzard and get paid 100 euros or trade straight up with a friend and get 154 euro for the same amount of gold just by removing the blizz tax which is worth it for many people --

Still rising at the maximum rate per hour, as is EU

There was scheduled maintenance today.
Granted it was supposed to happen and be over hours ago, but who knows!

Never looked into it much. I just know that if the EU price starts going towards 250k I might not be able to make enough in a month off of just light AH selling.
On the plus side tho you can now buy multiple tokens, add it to your balance and buy multiple months of sub which is cheaper then buying each month individually.

2/3'rds of my raid group just dropped mid-pull and got back on 5 mins later around 5pm
EU price peaked @200k and started falling, US peak 115k

Pushed 3 keys with some guys this week and we ended up with 2x brh 19 and 1x vault 19. Didnt manage either in time. Shits hard yo. Pala tank feels so fucking weak at high level. Who cares if you do 100k dps more than a bear if the bear can eat 5x more dmg :/ I want to reroll brewmaster or guardian so badly but it would take weeks to get him to 900 and have legendaries :|
|
Hell even keeping bears up in 20 and 21 felt hard. Some mobs just hit soooo hard like those vanishing mobs in Maw, they absolutely truck tanks. Or that 3 shield maiden 1 purifier pull before hyrja. Oh god, triple armor debuff stack is death.
Ah well, was good week for pushing mythics, we got to server 1st ranks with our grp, I'm #10 priest world and missing only 3 mill AP from 54 on my shadow weapon. Next week, do one 15 and call it a job well done for the reset :p necrotic incoming.
|
Yeah i hate those too because as pala tank you need a target to hit to activate mitigation and they do like a triple dmg hit after invis where i cant hit anyone if they are the last ones alive. I hate maw in general. Its the shortest one sure but the timer is pretty tight, if you fuck up once you're already running late. Unlucky tentacles happen on helya and can fuck you up too. Youre not horde, are you?

Tokens are just the weirdest thing atm. Most players in EU don't even know about it yet. Unless the prices drop I can't see people buying much from the store for ingame gold but guess time will tell. Atleast it has gone down abit again on EU because I know for sure that I'm not spending a quarter of a million gold every month on sub. That's all kinds of crazy.

It went 112k to 200k to 116k. Massive spike and crash but little indication of what the prices will actually settle at
RIP Warri's wallet

I gambled a bit that the price would stabilize high rather then crash back down right away. Guess the high gold price made a lot of people but tokens with RL money to bring it back down again.
|
Yea I'm horde. Wasn't much fan of the maw 21 we had to do, but then we did some boosting in 9-13 maws and it felt like facerolling over the place.

God damn it. Im actually pretty mad about that, couldve had 4 more if i bought all at that price. But i dont believe they will stay that low when the change goes live.

I mean it's live in the US and their prices crashed as well.
Right now i'm just hoping it doesn't take more than a week for them to finally implement it in EU as well, i want to cash in on tokens before the overwatch event ends :/

I'm waiting for them to crash a bit still. I nearly bought a few at 70k last night but then decided to hold off because of the trend, if it starts to plateu or go up ill probably cash in.

I imagine the next hearthstone expansion will be a major spike
