Yeah, they didn't touch the cleave build, but they buffed single target build.
They got some nice stuff like +50% on howling blast so they should be a lot better all around AFAIK
dmg, combat res, aoe stun and an interrupt is really nice. I say interrupt because a few of the worst specs don't actually have an interrupt with a reasonable CD

The howling blast buff is more about making non-frostscythe build, which uses obliterate, which procs 300% dmg howling blasts, stronger. The howling blast buff is part of what makes going single target build not so bad for cleave either.

Back in my day you bound everything to howling blast and ran through the instance while playing the keyboard like a guitar

You could even do the same thing in arenas and get Gladiator somehow. Season 5 was wild

If the rotation list I found is correct, EU will have raging+volcanic+tyrannical this week, which sounds like one of the easiest to finally do +10 in time. Just get a strong melee comp with aoe stuns and a mobile healer.

That sounds lovely after teeming/necrotic/tyrannical.
I've generally had an easier time w/ tyrannical rather than fortified but especially with necrotic+tyrannical there are some brick wall bosses that will singlehandedly ruin your life. Some of them you just walk through and oneshot, clear the trash inbetween.. others you'll still be there an hour later wondering if the boss will actually die ever with that specific player setup. It always has done in my experience, but some have been closer to impossible than others
General +7, +8, +9 runs all week were a nightmare w/ teeming necrotic as well; raging and volcanic can both be fairly well managed to the point where they don't impact clear times much

I wish they'd update the DK hall. I'm not sure if its like the worst compared to every other class hall, but it does seem like they didnt add much from wrath to legion.

Necrotic+Tyrannical is a bitch because some bosses its really hard to reset stacks and its virtually impossible to kill the boss before your tank gets very high stacks which means you need to play around with a secondary taunt and shit.

A few fights with add spawns can screw with that a lot as well (etc first boss neltharions, spider boss arcway)

Got wrists in the weekly chest, the one slot that i have a legendary in, so no upgrade, yay.

I have no clue how you do court of stars second boss with necrotic.
|
I dont think that fight changes much with the second affix. Once you reach a certain point in M+ the imps will just start one shotting people if you let them cast. Just have to stun/silence and burst them down every time they spawn.
|
if you silence them they still attack the tank and after the first wave i had 20+ stacks of necrotic that you cant reset.

I feel like by this point, people were starting to hate on WoD. What do people think of Legion? I feel like this is a legitimately better expansion, but I tend to be less cynical than others. Curious what you guys think.

Heard reports of (excessive) legendary dropping in raids, anyone had experience with this so far?

Legion is good. It has significant flaws, but they aren't crippling like WoD's were.

Just got a generic 845 int/versatility trinket from world quest and realized it is better than supposed BIS trinkets that web sites (Icy Veins etc) tell me I should use.
845 int/vers trinket is straight up 5.85% more heal.
870 Vial of Nightmare Fog is 2.87 % crit (2% more heal at 30% crit) and the proc is 3.5% of my heal according to my logs, so 5.5% overall.
Now comparison to the 845 trinket I used before, Naglfar Fare. It is 2.6% crit (1.8% heal) and proc is 2.5 % according to logs, so 4.3%.
I dont do much math in WoW usually and just rely on BIS lists on sites or what others write on forums etc. But this one seems pretty obvious.
Part of the problem is something I already talked about earlier - items gain almost 3 times as much int per lvl as they do crit etc. So in the future with even more item lvl trinkets that do not have int/agi should be completely useless. Or am I wrong?
Basically this means the generic pure stat trinkets from world quests are way better than all the trinkets I can get from drops in raid/dungeon. At least if they are somewhat close in item lvl. Which is rather sad.

The same way we always do it. Everybody stacks on the exact same spots, we sidestep the fire as imps spawn in and then instantly blow them all up with AOE as they're all clipped into eachother on the same spot. The second imp wave we AOE stun and kill before they really do anything as they need the 5 second stun to wear off plus several seconds to cast. Third wave pretty similar, there's no stun DR since these are now entirely different sets of adds. I've never done it tyrannical but it's actually one of the easiest bosses in M+ if you have this capability in my experience, she's a bit of a one-trick pony that is hard counterable without an extremely specific group comp.
The reason that first boss in nelth and the spider boss in arcway were screwing with us is just because they throw singular adds at you more frequently and in harder to control positions; if one of them hits the person with necrotic at the wrong time that can be very, very bad. We didn't have the same control problems in COS so there was never any crap with the resto druid tanking the boss for 10+ seconds at a time to try to drop stacks on tank
----
I "finally" got my second legendary (after prydaz) with ~300 mythic dungeons, 80 raid boss kills on normal-mythic and 60-ish emissary quests (1 per day +2 at launch, +3 on patch 7.1 reset since i caught it after patch but before the daily reset). It's Raddon's Cascading Eyes, the eye beam head.
It does nothing for Patchwerk but for fights with cleave it seems pretty useful, it'll help in mythic10 and it's hilariously good at times in mythic2 - if you pull 30 guys then you can eye beam, eye beam, eye beam and sustain 5 million DPS :D
I've yet to try the 1.5x length duration on eye beam talent, that should also make it much more powerful but the competing talent on the row, fel mastery, is very very good to the point where i'l probably only use the eye beam talent for the mythic+ runs that we can happily mass-pull on.
Not the best but actually pretty far up there for M+ farming, definitely a lot more useful than Prydaz with current balance.
