slowly chipping away at the "amateur status" of NCAA players. the NCAA is going to have to do more and more work to keep their biggest attractions, american football players, from getting any officially approved and legal cash during their academic years. | ||

it'd be interesting to see how organized a team can be when they only play together a short period of time. after the novelty of seeing that for say 20 minutes it might become unwatchable. | ||

I think there was something about American Football being the #2 sport for Canadian tv (distant behind hockey of course) and the CFL seems to be doing ok for itself. You hear about the occasional NCAA player from Canada these days too which I feel like never happened for football before. | ||

NFL versus NHL in Canada Only 1 NHL game per week substantially outdraws the most viewed NFL games in Canada. It is the main game on Saturday Night's "Hockey Night in Canada". Don Cherry is like 99 years old. I swear.. when he dies... the most viewed NFL games will equal "Hockey Night In Canada". the # of guys i know who say ... "ya man.. i'm watching the 1st period and then coach's corner to see what don says.. and then i'm going out tonight man.."... Don Cherry is a huge, huge draw for HNIC... and he is really old. The difference is once you remove the NFL and NHL from the radar.
