I enjoy Reynad cause hes real and doesnt put up an act (something I feel a lot of popular streamers do). If he doesnt like something, he'll speak his mind. I find nothing wrong with that. In fact, I enjoy his personality a lot.

Reynad's an ok player, though I don't think he's anything extremely top-tier or special as a Hearthstoner, and despite his decent taste in music (Of what I have seen) his personality is comparable to a finger-nail scratching a chalkboard, and he seems a bit delusional about his losses/his talent. There's no way I'd spend 20hrs watching the guy though! Jeesh, Artemis, that's probably too keen.

Lets not be too ridiculous. He's very obviously more than just an "ok player". He's much better than any of us, and we all can benefit from watching him play, if we want to gain insight/are bored enough to watch hearthstone streaming. If you can ignore his immaturity about losses, then you can enjoy/benefit from watching. Takes a bit higher mental age to ignore the negatives tho

Also the unrelated criticism from another poster about what decks he runs is a bit silly since he's the one that is responsible for compiling/popularizing them

This thread is now the Reynad Discussion Thread/Fanclub/Anti-Fanclub!

At first I thought you were talking about Gullin, and I had to scroll up to remember what the conversation was. Ok, thank god.

But no, Reynad is not better than "any" of us.

Whoops, I've fed the offtopicness and helped the thread be penetrated by fan boys, time to get back on topic.

Any updates on Gullin? I miss him already. :'(

Well even at rank 2-4 you find his copiepasted shieldbearer+doomguard-decks so he definetly gets points for creativity and deckbuilding.

Reynads problem for me is not even his saltiness, it is how childish and immature he is about himself and his impact on hearthstone. Lacks any elegance. But yeah, good player, good deckbuilder.

I'm not going to spread misinformation about this because I'm not that intimate with the magic community, so I'll keep it to just facts. In case anyone/everyone didn't know though, Reynad is banned from competitive magic for alleged cheating. Supposedly, he added cards to a sealed pool and was caught by judges. At first when confronted, he admitted to doing it. Then, his story changed and it became a deck registration mistake.

There's plenty of information on google about it, including multiple blogs from Reynad himself if anyone is curious.

Yes, Banished be on Sutty's list of "To-play-games-but-realistically-never-going-to-play-due-to-laziness-and-cheapness".

Re: Reynad, yes, heard about the cheating stuff. I don't know whether actually cheating in a magic competitive game, or Gullin's cheating with viewbots is considered worse. But *meh*, reynad chat is for another thread.

Wouldn't surprise me if he ended up killing himself in the near future, he's a really unstable person.

Its just an extreme case of denial.

Hes just going through the 5 stages of loss and grief guys, dont worry.

1) Denial (check)
2) Anger
3) Bargaining
4) Depression
5) Acceptance

We should expect to see some angry twitter posts real soon, guys.

That final play was glorious.

I mean wtf was he thinking? Mage has six secrets. The first secret on the Mage was obviously Ice Wall because every other triggering condition had been fulfilled and it hadn't activated. As for the second...it wasn't Spellbender or Counterspell because he'd just used Mind Control with the secret up the turn before. Which meant it was either Vaporize, Ice Wall, Ice Block or Mirror Entity. If it was Ice Wall or Ice Block it'd likely just delay in the inevitable (I think? Not sure if fatigue would have been an issue for our "hero" here). If it was Vaporize he could have triggered it with the Yeti and still had the Temple Enforcer in hand to drop. The only guaranteed loss secret was Mirror Entity and blindly playing the Temple Enforcer into it.

That first turn Priestess was funny too. "Oh yeah...that wasn't a bad thing because he had to ping it off rather than play Knife Juggler."
