Clicked a bunch of the usernames in the user list, they all seemed to be legit Twitch channels. The chat was moving really fast, too. So if he was using a bot to boost his numbers, it seems he might not be anymore.
That is a 100% not true. (only true when he was botting 2k+ to get #2 spot and kripp went offline and he got overflow of viewers which is what he is aiming to do. This is why I made this post, so we can stop this from happening!)
I have screenshots(posting later) of his viewer count and chat. 100 people in chat, 1500+ "viewers" Also if you were watching last night you would notice his viewer count kept going up and down because his bots were not working properly.
There was an admin in channel and he wrote "this is too funny"
Anyways, I'm sure twitch keeps an eye on things like that.
I don't know if he is doing what he's accused of or not.. but i do think that if bots are generating add impressions ($), it's probably a crime and not just some thing that twitch doesn't like...
Yeah, right now he has 2036 viewers, with a fairly active chat. I would guess from my experience from other streamers that a 2000+ viewer count would yield a much higher chat volume that he currently has. It isn't concrete evidence, but it sure seems to fit the accusations that perhaps he really only has 36 real viewers and is botting that 2000.
Not to mention, the stream is much less entertaining than some of the alternatives, I don't think 2000+ viewers would rather watch this stream over Kripp who is currently online as of this post.
I bet he has his stream embedded on some other site with a lot of traffic, my guildmaster in wow tried to fool himself doing this trick but it didn't take long before some admin joined the chat and told him to remove it or he would be banned, just report the stream on twitch i guess and soon it will be fixed.
ps. when i mentioned the chat was kind of quiet i got insta perm banned...........
Haha, I've skipped his stream purely because I believe that people with number in their name are ********. Goes back from my dota1 days when we used to host games and instantly kick anyone with numbers in their name, and every 5% of the times we decided to not do it we were proven wrong because they were, in fact, asshats.
That being said I do watch Reynad, but only after hearing of his budget warrior legend deck which made him legit in my eyes.
But I digress. Good catch, thanks for spreading the information despite not actually playing the games. It's appreciated.
Even though I think you're right, you probably shouldn't cite that bot as evidence. It gets a ton of false positives, possibly even more than legitimate detections.
True, but he is consistently on there EVERY time he turns on his stream.
The twitter thing can be up and down, but if someone is one there 100% of the time, its pretty much guaranteed. It just a simple script that read viewers = % of people in chat
he has 20-30 with 1000+
dont need a detector for that, but a visual is nice for the lazy.
This guy is still streaming with 2500+ viewers. It seems he only has around 500 real viewers upon close inspection at the viewer list. His mods constantly ban anyone mentioning his viewer count and chooses to ignore questions directed at it. Why hasn't something been done about this already when there is solid evidence?
I had the misfortune of tuning into his stream for 2 minutes. Did a horrible misplay with Lifetapping before Soulfiring. Not sure how he can play such an auto pilot deck so badly.
Is there any legitimate reason why Twitch mods have not taken action against him yet? What he's doing is obviously not acceptable.
Oh ya, I mentioned, "viewer ***" on his channel and got perm banned withing 2 seconds. This guys vigilance on his own chat is more impressive than his Hearthstone plays, hue hue hue.
