Windows: you wouldn't play something like that on a desktop, it's designed to be a mobile game. Smartphones: won't work on them Windows 8 tablets: it has too demanding graphics for the majority of them Notebooks: usually no touchscreen Android Tablets: not supported
So we have a mobile game that won't work on most mobile devices, which leaves the iPad, Touch-Notebooks and i5 windows tablets. Meh...
How is there any issue with playing in PCs? I play board game ports all the time. Windows 8 tablets are plenty powerful enough to play. If you get a true windows 8 tab as opposed to an rt notebooks: dont need a touch screen android tablets: i am sure it will eventually. The android market is way too large to ignore.
I hope you're right. Maybe my mindset is different, but when I see this game I think it would be great to play when laying on the bed or in the garden, or when being incredibly high, not in an upright position with a straight back in front of a computer.

No Blizzard Allstars, I am disappointed.

Oh nice, f2p card games by blizzard sounds pretty cool :3

That actually does sound pretty cool, I will play it.

I agree. I was kind of thinking it might be All Stars, or maybe a SC:Ghost announcement, but anything big like that would get announced at Blizzcon, not PAX, as that is where they normally do their big announcements.

I'd play it if it were also on android.

I don't agree on the way they hyped the announcement but I'm still looking forward to be playing the game.

What'd you expect? They said it'd be a small announcement..
Anyway it's f2p and looks fun for a little while, worth checking out at least.

I think it sounds fun, will be playing it when I can.

Actually kinda excited about this. Been wanting to play some kind of TCG lately and MTG seems too overwhelming to start from complete scratch when I don't have any friends to help me learn. I know the Warcraft universe very well so that gives me some kind of knowledge with the cards.
Definitely give it a try when it comes out especially since its f2p.

Sounds like a sleazy way to get more people into WoW subs (and RMAH boost- use bnet balance to buy packs of cards). It might be ok I guess, but I usually start off as skeptical anymore. :D

MTG is not overwhelming at all. There is a reason it's the best collectible card game, ever.
Knowledge of the Warcraft universe won't give you the advantage you're thinking of, it will be minuscule at most - unless you're talking about lore.

Yes mostly about lore. And yes MTG is kinda intimidating if you've never even picked up a MTG card and haven't the slightest clue how to play the game.

That's most definitely a matter of opinion. Very much like saying WoW is the best MMO ever, or Street Fighter is the best fighting game ever. They have the brand recognition, so they get more players, but honestly MtG has an outdated design which has been improved upon by a lot of games since (especially the resource system).
And yes, it's extremely overwhelming to learn compared to most of those games as well.

It is overwhelming if you don't have people to play with or teach you IRL. Just because it's the "BEST" collectible card game doesn't mean it's the most easily accessible for new players.

This seemed real microscopic and not worth even the preannouncement was my point.

I used to play MtG back in middle/ high school, and then I stopped for two years, and then when I tried collecting and playing again I was too overwhelmed with all the new shit that I had missed lol. It's pretty hard to get back into (let alone get into in the first place), and you really have to keep up with the new editions.
On a note more relevant to the thread: I'm underwhelmed by the announcement

Holy shit this thread is funny. Just check few pages such as 1 and 32/33... LOL
