Pour one out for the low level staff that will have to lawyer up. It can be amazing expensive and there is almost no way for them to get any sort of assistance. Isn't situations like this part of why you are part of Unions? They help with workplace issues and lawyers when actually needed. Don't see why they would be for most of them. They don’t get any sort of protection like that and I doubt White House and Congressional staff could unionize. The nature politics precludes that and I don’t think it would be legal. This is one of the risks of working in Washington and there isn’t much anyone can do about it. I am not 100% sure about the exact cause, but it is a thing that has existed forever in Washington. And quitting doesn’t change anything, since they will still be called for depositions and need a lawyer.

Let's see how this one goes
I expect a ton of questions from Breitbart about the DNC murdering the person who sent documents to Wikileaks and not much else. Maybe some questions about how bad and untrustworthy Comey is as a person.
Also: tooootally didn't notice Trump misspelled "counsel" as "councel" in that tweet. They were definitely from him and not the other phone.

Wait, Trump himself will be up there answering questions?

Remember, Trump does not listen to lawyers when they tell him not to talk about ongoing cases. Chances are that this press conference is not going to be a net gain for him.

He's going to rail on the media which will rally his supporters behind him and give them renewed confidence in their vote.

I think he's also going to add a new "enemy" in the form of the "unelected bureaucrats." And talk about leaks a lot.

I expect all major news sources to have a stream on their website. Washington Post is pretty reliable in this regard.

Youtube has been pretty good about having live streams of all the stuff going on.

I really hope someone asks him about goddamned steam catapults just for fun
I also think he'll do something petty like ban the media from direct access to his trip to ME/Europe or something

Ideally, Trump directly threatens Comey's family today.

Dunno how well Canada or Mexico would be able to leverage a Trumpster fire to their advantage though.

Probably not the best thing to try and do in the middle of an exploding white house? I would think there are bigger issues to deal with in your own country than try to renegotiate NAFTA with two other countries in the middle of a potential impeachment and all the disgruntled americans in your country ... Like, aren't you going to be at a disadvantage?
Good point. Canada and Mexico essentially have no reason to "please" trump at this point. They don't necessarily have incentive to build a relationship and you could argue Trump desperately needs something politically positive to come from all this. Trump needs this negotiation a lot more than Canada and Mexico.

I would also accept another reminder that the media is the enemy of the people. Hell, maybe he officially makes it a proclamation this time?
Expect a lot of hyperbole about how persecuted he is. If this were treated as a drinking game, people would die.

“There’s two people I think Putin pays: Rohrabacher and Trump,” McCarthy (R-Calif.) said, according to a recording of the June 15, 2016 exchange, which was listened to and verified by The Washington Post. Rep. Dana Rohrabacher is a Californian Republican known in Congress as a fervent defender of Putin and Russia.
House Speaker Paul D. Ryan (R-Wis.) immediately interjected, stopping the conversation from further exploring McCarthy’s assertion, and swore the Republicans present to secrecy.
