Are you implying the current Egyptian president is worse than the islamic fundamentalists that came to power after the Arab spring? How has Obama's foreign policy affected Egypt and what is Egypt's relationship with the US like now?

Though this is a pitch to make her seem more connected to Millennials, she has absolutely no charisma unlike Obama when he did the show. Also you can tell she gets very uncomfortable/angry by her expressions.

Well yeah, she is pretty cringey in improve situtions but I mean comparig her to Obama is kind of an unfair in that department. No one is as baller as that guy.

An insightful statement has emerged from the Donald Trump campaign. It concerns Corey Lewandowski, the former Trump campaign manager who was apparently fired from his post in June and then quickly signed on as a political commentator for CNN. A couple of weeks later, CNN self-disclosed that their new hire was receiving severance payments from the campaign. Those payments — $20,000 per month to Lewandowski’s Green Monster Consulting — continued in August, according to the latest round of campaign finance reports. In response to questions about the setup, the Trump campaign said:

"Corey Lewandowski, who is no longer involved in the campaign, continues to receive monthly severance payments. The campaign will continue to honor its contract with Mr. Lewandowski, which stipulates he will be paid through the end of the year. These payments are in no way compensation for services rendered."

[...]

It’s apparent that Lewandowski is bound by the nondisclosure/nondisparagement clauses that Trump & Co. require of other employees, as we’ve discussed previously in this space. “The statement issued by the Trump campaign contains a serious omission,” says D.C. employment lawyer Debra Katz, of Katz, Marshall & Banks LLP. “It fails to note whether Lewandowski is bound by either a nondisparagement provision or confidentiality strictures of any other provision that bars him from speaking without fear of having his severance payments cut off. Until that question is answered, we can only infer that Lewandowski remains on a short leash.” Severance is quite commonly paid in a lump sum.

Washington Post

Keep in mind Trump's campaign made a filing with the FEC saying Lewandowski's payments are for strategy consulting right before issuing a statement saying they're for severance payments. It appears they just can't help but lie.

I was in stitches, but Hillary contributed very little to that. Then again, honestly that should be like a bump criteria not an important, one.

If you are having to get on between two ferns to appeal to Millennials in a run for president, then its the millennials that are the issue here.

I guess as a Putin bot you don't really have much respect for the concept of democracy.

Morsi wasn't a great guy. But a al-Sisi overthrew him in a military coup, suspending the constitution, banned the Muslim brotherhood, restricted freedom of the press and held sham trials. He hardly came into power by legitimate means. Morsi did, though he abused those powers after he got elected.

What kind of a clown show does it take to say in an FEC filing that Lewandowski is being paid for strategy consulting and, the next day, issue a statement saying it's only severance payments?

The Trump campaign has given us so many shining examples of the failing public education system. Especially when it comes to US history.

Weird how he has been dodging the press now that the real election is going on and all these issues are cropping about possible criminal behavior by his foundation.

The Muslim Brotherhood]
The Brotherhood's stated goal is to instill the Qur'an and Sunnah as the "sole reference point for ... ordering the life of the Muslim family, individual, community ... and state".[13] Its mottos include "Believers are but Brothers", "Islam is the Solution", and "Allah is our objective; the Qur'an is the Constitution; the Prophet is our leader; jihad is our way; death for the sake of Allah is our wish".

Wow man, I wonder why they were an illegal organization before Obama went on his World tour and gave them a front row seat at his 'A New Beginning' speech in 2009. They were only involved in basically every single major jihadist movement since the 1920's, no biggie.

He's throwing the baby out because he never wanted to save it in the first place. Its basically a classic case of the kind of legitimacy "the assholes/' get to claim because PC culture went to far.

No, that's not the case. I do believe that a certain level of decency is appropriate and culturally required, which is why there are certain things that I won't say or do. The problem, however, is that the PC crowd has so polarized the debate and the discussion that everyone is now forced to choose a side. And I'm not siding with them.

why can there only be 2 sides?
why can't you be part of the reasonable middle?
or the fairly reasonable right of center but still kinda middleish group?

I disagree on it being soooo polarized that you have to choose one of the two extreme sides.

Well in this whole speaking political correctness on "social issues", there are 4 groups just using plain logic:

1. Those who support it radically.
2. Those who support it conditionally.
3. Those who don't care for it.
4. Those against it radically.

The mean of people are in the 2nd and 3rd categories.

Those who proudly call themselves "SJW" are in the first categories.

Those who are against it radically includes religious folks.

Most people just say "Okay who the fuck cares? That's not the biggest issue here, the biggest issue is that we are scared of where this country is going while navigating around the world."

President Obama is asking 20 federal offices to work together on a national security strategy to address climate change.

Obama signed a directive on Wednesday telling the offices to develop a “federal climate and national security working group” to “identify the U.S. national security priorities related to climate change and national security, and develop methods to share climate science and intelligence information to inform national security policies and plans,” the White House said.

He charged the group with developing a climate change action plan within 90 days, laying out steps for sharing climate data, research ideas and vulnerability assessments for parts of the United States that are threatened by climate change over the next three decades.
Obama also asked the agencies — which cover climate offices and national security missions — to write implementation plans for combatting climate change.

“The presidential memorandum that’s being released establishes, in a way that we’ve never had in the United States at the federal government, a comprehensive policy to ensure that those current and future impacts [of climate change] are fully considered in nationals security-related doctrines, policies, assessments and plans,” Brian Deese, Obama’s senior climate adviser, told reporters on Wednesday.

Obama and his administration have long considered climate change a national security threat, a position shared by some Democrats and rejected by Republicans, who say the national security focus should be squarely on combatting terrorism rather than the climate.

But the White House maintains that a warming climate — and the rising sea levels, expanded drought and other extreme weather events scientists warn will come with it — constitutes a threat to national security.

The National Intelligence Council released a report Wednesday to make that point, saying climate change will impact military installations, hurt emergency response efforts and increase refugee crises and conflict over land around the world as water supplies decrease.

Taken together, Deese said, “this is a very significant step and one that I think is a culmination of an elevation of the intersection between national security and climate change.”

It’s seven weeks before Election Day, five days before the highly anticipated first debate, and Donald Trump’s television advertisements have all but vanished.

Trump’s ads last ran nearly a week ago in four battleground states: Florida, North Carolina, Ohio and Pennsylvania. Since then, the GOP presidential nominee has ceded the airwaves to Hillary Clinton — and is only poised to launch a limited, less-targeted ad campaign in the days before next week’s debate.

While his campaign announced a new ad on Tuesday, it’s only going to run on national cable news stations and during two Sunday morning public-affairs shows, according to data from The Tracking Firm, a company that monitors media buys. And even with that seemingly modest buy — the full extent of which wasn't clear on Wednesday night — Clinton is still outspending him this week many times over.

“It’s unprecedented for a major-party nominee in this century to have such an on-again, off-again TV buy,” said Elizabeth Wilner, a former TV-network political director who, until last month, monitored political advertising for Kantar Media/CMAG.

The strategy has perplexed political media buyers who aren’t affiliated with the campaign. Trump’s campaign is underfunded compared to Hillary Clinton’s — his campaign had only $50 million on hand as of Aug. 30, according to documents filed with the Federal Election Commission Tuesday night — but Trump’s failure to advertise consistently threatens the efficacy of his entire paid media campaign, limited as it is.
