Warhound may be the only thing from Blizzard that looks fucking ugly. Blizzard is known for their great art style.

I LOATHE that unit already, I hate every single thing about it, design, damage, animation, everything. It's utterly Supreme Commander / Command and Conquer terrible. I'm completely convinced one of the developers had their kid design it for them.

I wonder if the missile they shoot (the yellow one) has to be casted manually. If so: nice :D, if not: blizzard make it so we have to cast it ourselves!

They are on autocast by default but you can disable it.

Why on earth would you? The missle auto-targets mech units which it damages the most. It's one of Blizzards biggest A-move units ever. (Cmon guys don't give me shit, this one isn't even a subjective thing, it's just fact)

I don't understand why they give the oracle a scanning ability. If you decide to go the stargate tech path, you shouldn't be able to have 'observers'. If you choose a tech path, it has advantages but also disadvantages because you didn't build the other one.
Let's just add some form of flying dt's to the stargate as well right?

Haywire missiles can be autocast or manual.
But they shot ONLY if the warhound is targeting mechanical units. (So they wont shoot HM to Collossus if they are shooting the zealots.)

Wow! love the warhound vid!!
looks like this beauty will shut down all the silly one base blink all ins :-)

i wonder if the warhounds are better to drop to kill workers in tvt than mines or bflame hellions because scvs are mechanical, too...

Parting manually charges and that would do you even less good, I think 1-2 years into it them hitting stalker will be known as a waste, you could probably 1 hit colossi with manual targeting with that thing.

Im speechless.
What unit do we make to deal with warhounds on 1-2 base that is not extremely vunerable to the battle hellions that come with them?
Stalkers? Nope.
Zealots? Well, Warhound is a ranged unit (a high range ranged unit) that is about 25% faster, you wouldnt even need hellions to be able to tear apart a zealot defense unless there was a choke with forcefields.
Immortals? 1robo would not be enough, and it appears that Haywire missile bypasses hardened shield, and battle hellions are not armored.
I think you could deal with warhounds alone, but the battle hellions pose the strange problem of seemingly hardcountering everything that comes with them, if you were to build 2 immortals, then you are handing the terran the resources to add 7 battle hellions to the fight, which is 840hp of light armored metal that has to be destroyed before you can reach the warhounds unless you plan on walking through the hellions IF you can.. Stalkers and immortals both have extremely low DPS vs light units, and it seems that Warhounds are the hardest non-flying-unit-counter to the colossus so far.
This video is 9 Warhounds vs 12 Stalkers, the warhounds are a little more gas heavy, and the production is harder to get up, but otherwise this is an equal cost engagement, and the 9 warhounds kill all 12 stalkers with only 1 loss and some damage.

Bullshit. Zerg get overseers pretty much regardless. Terran get scan pretty much regardless. Protoss?
Sorry but it's a shortcoming. The argument for moving the observer and not having it on the oracle, I'll accept but they lack a scanning option without robo, it's bullshit - especially considering Terrans scan range and duration.

No, Unless they radically changed how the anti-mech missile works, it had a rediculously long cooldown in previous versions that would make it pretty impractical for killing workers.

how about giving feedback to Blizzard if it's actually OP? you know it's beta.

The whole point was for them to be able to shoot mechanical units while also damaging something else. Even on the video you see them killing Marines while Haywire missiles are destroying Tanks.
