Dang, guess professional starcraft 2 is different to different people

2 base 4 gateis old meta and pretty ineffective these days as zergs get quicker gas and thus roachs. its from a time when zergs didnt gas till 7min or later

I saw it work effectively ~3 months ago.

But this isn't just "soon" it's "very soon" lol. In all seriousness though when they posted that announcement for the WoW expansion MoP it was out in like a day or two I believe so perhaps the "very soon" language is what we should have been waiting for all along.

if it wasnt imminent theyd stick with the "soon" from anaheim

From what I understand, they don't like how the mothership core has been working out, and spider (widow) mines are being changed. I can't read much else though.
|
|
I think he's saying that the WoL mothership is removed. Nothing about mothership core not working out.
Btw, it turns out Bing translate is better than Google translate.
|
I think they mean that the mine is changed from AOE to single target but to compensate this, they bring up the damage of the mine.
Wow. I don't know they can make the mine even worse.

Wow. I don't know they can make the mine even worse. Worse? Okay, so you get a mine on a target (anything) and they run (or blink) said stalker into you. Then it dies and detonates. GG your army.
Or, hell, 10 seconds to split ONE unit out of your army?
It snipes t3 units, QQ more.

terran unit change. spider mine had a 10sec timer, they took this away and they changed the splash radius and damage gradient mothership will still be slow i think you guys misinterpreted; the article says they originally wanted to remove it, but decided to keep it beta test begun, current balance is still changing (duh) beta is for 1v1 multiplayer only you can take replays and play from them :0 to fix the issue of progaming matches lagging out; it'll be a good thing for casuals too so they can play where a progamer left off, and investigate how to approach strategy in the mid to lategame edit; forgot to add, there will be global play but we all knew that already.
there will be units exclusive to single player hots was delayed, but that's because the dev team wanted the game to be more fun, now they're balance tweaking with the beta and the game should be released soon(tm).
|
"Greater than eliminate this delay, the damages for a single unit to give greater damage has been changed." Google "Get rid of the delay, the greater damage than a single unit can change for more damage." Bing
I get from this that they've removed the detonation timer and upped the damage to the host that it grabs onto while still keeping AOE damage as is
Though Ktk is probably a more reliable source

So they're keeping the mothership instead of mothership core? Wow that sucks.

No, they're saying what we already know, the mothership core turns into the mothership; the mothership has not been removed from the game.

Wow, awesome! Thanks!
Wait the widow mine no longer has a 10 second timer? So basically it's a buildable spider mine? I guess i'm indifferent about that, too bad they couldn't figure out a way for hellions to lay them down though (and perhaps not need the battle hellion at all).
ALSO, HOLY SHIT! Global play and THE REPLAY THINGY (ya dat thingy!) in hots beta? AWESOME! that will be so useful for practicing!

OK. Thanks for the translation KTK. I thought they mean that mothership core now can move slowly.
