I really find funny how "korean women" are presented as some kind of innocent pray, that basically foreigners go around and stab with their dicks and woman cannot do anything. I'm not completly sure about Korean culture, but is there a word No in your dictionary? If so, then girls can always say it, and if they don't, then there must be a reason why. Also foreigner HIV stuff is hillarious, HIV doesn't care what race or gender you are. | ||

They will speak about foreigners in disrespectful ways and will look down on interracial relationships. But you know what? There is a good amount of truth in the things Asians have to say about "foreigners". But it's not just foreigners causing problems, everyone does it to everyone else at some point. It's only being emphasized in Korea because it's starting to become a large issue there. What? I can only speak from my experience, but I have never heard of or seen anything like that in my life, nor have I ever heard anyone refer to or speak about this supposed phenomenon of Asian men's bad deeds being disproportionately reported, except for you. As for your second paragraph, it seems like by conservative cultures, you mean racist and xenophobic cultures. So you agree with the OP. And the OP is pointing out that racism and xenophobia should be criticized where it is observed. | ||

The worst thing about the video that got me really fucking mad though was the incredibly blatant disrespect these korean men who were interviewed had for korean women. They spoke of the women as if they are stupid children that have no control over their lives or decisions and no choice but to get swept away by these criminal foreigners. Am I really out of line in thinking that this is not a problem at all? Some women wanted to have casual sex without protection. Some got STDs. Some got dumped after a one night stand. What is the issue here? Has anyone in the history of mankind gone out barhopping in search for a slow moving romance? Culture or no culture. A program like this can't be labeled as anything else than bigoted propaganda for people with a very old fashioned world veiws. | ||

On topic i don't even get how anyone could blame the foreigners in this, i mean, if the parents educated their daughters better they certainly wouldn't give their bodies so easily, blaming it on foreigners is kind of silly as korean guys are most likely doing the same. Those girls are not helpless, they're not being raped, they know what they're doing. Seriously what did those girls expect ? This is not a problem at all. A lot of countries have similar propaganda. Sensational and " shocking " but that's to be expected with corporate media. Saying " all is well in our little perfect world " doesn't exactly give you many viewers.
