And obviously being different from the norm is an advantage wherever you go, and a bigger advantage (in terms of standing out) in a homogenized society, rather than somewhere more mixed like the US for instance.
The only part I really mind about the documentary tho, is the labeling.
The worst thing about the video that got me really fucking mad though was the incredibly blatant disrespect these korean men who were interviewed had for korean women. They spoke of the women as if they are stupid children that have no control over their lives or decisions and no choice but to get swept away by these criminal foreigners.

You can hear and literally see a lot of this stuff in other Asian countries as well, I didn't think it'd be a surprise nowadays...
Key ideas usually reoccurring: Middle-aged white guy works/lives in an Asian country due to job/it's usually cheaper, naive Asian woman who thinks getting hitched to a white guy solves her financial problems, etc etc
Then that awkward feeling when you see them in a KFC and you see that guy eating with his kids and Asian in-laws with that "oh god what-have-I-done" expression...
I'm not sure where all the negativity comes from other than the obvious negative portrayal/stereotyping of foreigners, but this stuff really happens.
Or maybe I just go to the wrong KFC.

I don't doubt the fact that there are douchers in every country (in this case, Korea) who use whatever tools they have at their disposal (in this case, I guess you could refer to it as "curiosity about an unknown foreigner") to take advantage of gullible people (in this case, women). However, a supposedly legitimate news company decided to ignore the existence of every "foreigner" but the small subset I just described and refer to them as "foreigners." I was unaware of this before now, but apparently all non-Koreans act like this waste.

The most you could take out from the video is that yes there may certainly be bad foreigners, but as most people pointed out, Korean girls are also part of the problem. Also, yes Korean guys are kinda douchebaggy.
Korea likes to stress hierarchy: act tough with some balls mang and you'll be on top. The country, with its small land and high competition rate, makes it a breeding ground for people to try and out-compete everyone, and thus, grow arrogance.
It also doesn't help that the older generation is very pushy and are not very open about liberal ideals.
So be glad that the players you currently see on your streams: like MKP, like Flash, etc, have always had ideas like PR and manners forced into their head. These players usually STAY inside and play games so tend to not act similar to that of the general Koreans. Of course, we've seen the opposite spectrum of that as well (i.e. Savior and Hwasin), but there IS a very horrible side of Korea that most foreigners don't observe because they just watch OGN and the streams.

I know you are very proud that you just had your first statistics course or something, but you don't actually have to back up every claim you make in a casual discussion. The fact that Vietnam has problems with foreign sex-tourism is pretty common knowledge. Common knowledge does not have to backed up in an academic setting, let alone an internet message board.
