Racism is a problem. This particular occurrence isn't part of it. If your so offended by this, become a political activist and actually discuss something that is meaningful. I am half white and I can sincerely state that that is the most hafa assed racial slur I've ever been exposed to.

I think SC just trying to find an excuse to get Destiny unfeatured because he doesnt like him, poor single war and hes using the racist thing as his flag but everybody will tell you that they wouldnt care if some1 would have called him like that .

Grow up, its people in the SC community like destiny that make stuff interesting. Maybe stop being so polite and shake things up every once in awhile. And do not run to their sponsors and complain. That's basically the definition of being a faggot and i'm sure destiny wouldn't hesitate to call you that again if you keep whining.

Well, it is. It is the very definition of a racist slur motivated by racist thoughts. It is far worse than what the EGs guy did because he only threw random insults without actually targeting anyone directly. The only difference is that with the horrible US past he used a forbidden word so he got rightfully fired. QuanticDestiny on the other hand actively called someone inferior because of his race which is an unaccaptable lowblow. And for the balls part, maybe QuanticDestiny should grow some and stop being a crybaby about losing. good points i agree
I couldn't agree more with Fenrax. There are so many destiny fans here trying to defend him at all costs, a lot like with Orb, but worse. Do we really need to have this argument about whether it's "fine" to use racial slurs while raging in a SC2 game again? I'd assume it was settled with Orb.

No, he wasn't. The word has a history in the US going back to WWII/Korean War/Vietnam. It was used as a derogatory term towards enemy (or friendly) soldiers/civilians. That's exactly how he used it.

The OP is the one who's been slurred at by Destiny. This isn't some random stream spectator complaining about Destiny's language. This is someone who is the subject of the "entertainment" provided by Destiny, who also feels that the language used on him isn't warranted (though he understands the "intent" might not be there).
Imagine if you're the toy that a few thousand people laugh at when someone makes fun of you. It's not a nice feeling.
As for people who believes in standing by Destiny being Destiny, there's no need to take offence at this thread at all is there?

I don't know why people want to defeature Destiny. He did a good job educating his viewers to insult the OP. He's a effective community figure. People learn so much from him, look at this thread.

people don't understand the difference between the freedom of speech to say anything you want and being a contractual servant to A professional SC2 team. That Professional players can not get away with calling other people gook, nigger, cracker, Nazi if they were German, Spick, Guniea , etcetera. They are held to higher standards than ordinary SC2 players who are not professional (obligated to Fans, Team,and Sponsors).
If some nobody called me a gook online, yeah it would hurt, but I would get over it. But if Naniwa called me a gook online, I would find that pretty unacceptable. That's my angle on it.

Guys, the issue here is that there's absolutely a double standard. If ANY other player acted like this, they'd be in a hell of a lot of trouble. Because it is Destiny, and he's known for it, somehow that makes it okay? It really shouldn't.

If only it were as simple as it being 1v1 without a stream, thousands of viewers(who are prone to crusading on his behalf), a featuring on team liquid, sponsors etc involved.

I don't necessarily think Destiny should be dropped by Quantic, but he shouldn't be a featured streamer on TL. He is the only featured streamer with such tendencies.
