That is probably the tenth post you've made in this thread which hasn't made a lick of sense. And I have yet to see Destiny use racist slurs to intentionally offend people of a certain ethnicity, origin, etc. <-- THAT'S what I'd consider racist. Oh, you mean like calling an Asian person "gook"?
So you actually believe what went through his mind was "This person is Asian, I will use this word because I hate Asians and I hope it offends him" ? He must really hate Asians, staying in a Korean progaming house and shit. I watched his stream during this time because I was interested and he got along with the players there. So man, people who know Destiny seem to get along with him. But I'm sure you know him better than all those people because of screenshots bro. Good night.

It's logically fallacious to infer Destiny is a racist from the fact that he used a racial slur outside of a context in which it would be obviously racist (i.e. if he were giving a speech at a Neo-Nazi rally). It is logically fallacious to infer that a creature is a duck because it quacked. No seriously, if you don't want people calling you a racist, don't use racist slurs. I don't care if people call Destiny racist. Those people are entitled to be presumptive buffoons. I care when people act like this is a logical or reasonable conclusion, because it's not. For what it's worth, I don't think using racial slurs is evidence of not being a racist either, but in the context Destiny used it, I figure it's evidence of basically nothing. I mean, if you want to infer that Destiny's a human being because he used human speech, or that he speaks English because he spoke an English word, then go for it. Spare me your poorly crafted and disingenuous witticisms though.
Why does the context excuse this? He seems compelled to use racist/homophobic language, it seems fair to assume he is racist/homophobic. There is no evidence to the contrary.
edit: its not like this is a pattern for him or anything...

I would take "people who go to sponsors" with a grain a salt. Once you let trolls know this they will go out of their way to do shit like this(go to sponsors and such). Sponsors really shouldnt take advice from random people messaging them.
also, if this hasnt been discussed, when destiny BMs koreans, hes expecting them not to understand a thing he said.

How in the holy mother of fuck do you move from
1) He uses racist language when he's raging
to
2) he's racist.
that's like saying: well, we know the creature is alive, therefore it's a duck. I mean, we don't know that it's a duck, but we don't know that it's not a duck, and it's possible that it could be a duck, so it's a duck.

This seems like less of a racial slur and more destiny trying to give his opinion on all the flaming going on about what people said.
I bet he chuckled a little before he said it, not at you, but at the idiots who would be trolling about it trying to compare it to orb. This type of thing is just Steven being a smart ass IMHO, nothing really that bad. It would be one thing if it was constant for every person like that, but it isn't.
His twitter post just affirms this assessment.

I don't get what (some) people make out of this. There is clearly an issue here but I don't think it is what people think.
Words are words. Meanings are meanings. Words have certain meanings, but WHAT meanings they have is completely subjective. If I call a good friend a "fucking idiot" he knows that I don't really think that he is an idiot, I'm just mad and I said this to show that I'm mad. (And he also knows when I really mean that he is a fucking idiot, because it is also context-dependent)
The same thing is with strangers and "harsher" words. Calling someone a gook, nigger or whatever you want doesn't always mean that I mean "I want to offend you because of what ethnical background you have", it could just mean "I'm mad as fuck and I have brainfarts so I say this shit".
Now, we don't know what Destiny thought here or if he thought at all, but what the OP does here is pretty contrary to what he says.
@OP: You say that you don't think that Destiny means it in a racist way, but what else is there? The only thing left is that he was mad at you for how you played, so basically this topic is about Destiny being mad and you getting offended by his reaction, not specifically racial slurs. And that, in my opinion, is something that happens every day and shouldn't be a "public issue". (Otherwise, there could be the use of the word that offends you. But then I'm asking: Why do you use this word, too? Shouldn't that offend you? I guess not, because it's not the word, it's what people mean.)

LOL @ OP changing the thread title to try and increase the ferocity of the shit storm at "Quantic" Destiny. What a piece of work...

While the discussion of how to tell whether someone is racist, I don't think it is particularly relevant. The question is not "is Destiny secretly a racist?" For all I know he is just a robot designed to stream SC while generating annoying banter. The question is "is this sort of behavior something that we want to condone from our public figures?"

Last time we had this issue, the community did not agree with your logic. While I don't think the consequences will be as bad for Destiny as they were for Orb, you are still on the wrong side of this argument...and there's a reason for that (hint: your'e wrong).

Please note the difference between what Destiny is doing and what the guy had to face. In the poor gaymer's case he was being actively harassed by those and could not avoid it. One CAN turn on the mature audience filter if they're getting offended by the words they see on the ladder, and one CAN choose not to tune into Destiny's stream.

i think some people should reconsider their priorities... I don't get why people like you feel the need to come into a thread and post a sentiment which has been voiced literally 100 times in almost the exact same words. It has been responded to even more times, just search through the thread. You're adding absolutely nothing to the discussion.
Just because his opinion is the same as others doesn't give him less of a right to post. It's like asking why the 100th person voted on 1 guy in elections if 99 people before him voted the same person.
To be honest, your post is of less value because it actually doesn't add any discussion that is related to the thread.

Plus there's always the lovely :
"When you say I am asking people to be too politically correct, I hear, "I want to keep kicking you, raping you, and subjecting you to painful court processes that go nowhere, and you're not allowed to ask me to stop."
Because, if you think I am oversensitive, I dearly hope you never go through a fraction of what I have. Otherwise, you might find that your skin isn't so much thick, as it has been largely untested. I am still here. I have been suicidal, but I am still here, ready to raise a middle finger, yell, and demand that I not be subhuman."
which just ranges from vindictive to wrong. If you're tying to get people to sympathize with you, telling them you want them to get the shit kicked out of them if they disagree isn't a very smart method.

Personally, i dont care if anyone calls me anything only because its a word. Its just a word, and it means nothing because i let it mean nothing. If you or anyone else gets called anything and you get mad for whatever reason, congrats because you are a dumb fuck. So what if someone says nigger or gook or cracker, because it only means something of hate if you let it mean something of hate. In this specific case, say "GG" and wait for him to leave, if he types the whole dictionary of "hurtful" words so fucking what, if you dont like it then dont play, because you are never going to change the other person and stop them from being an asshole. ESPECIALLY destiny, because lets be honest, he just does not give a fuck.
