I say keep it in. It doesn't really do any harm, and its nice to vote on foreign players. Its literally the only foreign tournament we can do a liquibet for. Besides, NASL doesn't flood the page anywhere near the up/down matches.

I was really interested in Liquibets for a while and then quit when they started listing NASL games because I just couldn't keep up with the number of matches. I'd like it if the NASL games were taken back out.

I'd rather see MLG or IPL games in Liquibets, since those are real tournaments, and let the NASL finals be in there too. It's just the league games that are too much.

It's ridiculous to try to guess who's going to win a game that was played a week ago, or two or maybe even three.

You hear that Cruncher goes inactive but you don't know if he's still playing his games or if they were played before or what happened. You've got a player that was slumping heavily three weeks ago but has figured things out now... do you bet on him or not? It's basically just a guessing game instead of an actual test of knowledge.

The integrity of the Liquibet is in question, too. Who's to say that someone who knows a player in the NASL personally won't get help with his Liquibet? Or users on the website like iNcontroL who have to bet on their own games which have already been played. I'm not accusing iNcontroL of anything and maybe he refrains from placing bets on his own games but that isn't exactly fair to him either. He should have an equal opportunity for points as everyone else on this site.

Liquibet isn't serious business at all so it doesn't matter. But I'd honestly prefer to have NASL taken out since the games are not played anywhere close to live, games turn out to be walkovers far too often, and there isn't enough transparency from NASL on what and when is exactly going on in their league when it comes to the games.
This space for rent.

I lose a lot of points because of the NASL (I do pretty good with the GSL usually), so i'd say remove it ahahah.
I really don't follow the NASL at all.

NASL is something i do vote on but i never watch or follow it. I rather it be taken off liquibets and leave only GSL and other major tournaments.

There is, you don't vote.

If you're one of the people that doesn't care, or doesn't use liquibets then this doesn't affect you at all.

This is actually really funny. I pulled up TL, saw that I had 15 new liquibets, thought to myself, "God, they really need to not put every single NASL matchup on Liquibet." Then looked down at forums and saw a thread titled, Should NASL really be a part of Liquibet.?" HAHAHA

I don't really have an issue with the NASL liquibets. Mainly because I like to know the results of players I voted for

I don't think they need to be removed per se, they could also make a system to choose which tournaments to bet on. I stopped liquibetting due to the number of liquibets I had to make (I like to read up on the players so it took too much time) But I'm all for less liquibets.

They do not air the games the day after they are cast. They may cast the games the day after they are played though.

Some games will be weeks off. You can tell by patches how old the games are occasionally. Other players have stated the games were played weeks earlier.

I think that sums it up pretty much.

I agree as well.
Used to watch NASL for some of the korean stars, but stopped in season 2.
Would like to see more tournament choices such as WCG.

lol @ this poll thats just ridiculous

so the majority says that they will rather PAY to see matches of KOREANS at UNWATCHABLE TIMES than the matches of the TOP FOREIGNERS who play in a league with A LOT OF GAMES and FOR A HUGE PRIZEPOOL at PERFECTLY WATCHABLE TIMES and WITH A REBROADCAST

thats quite odd

I don't see any reason to remove NASL as long as it has a relatively high number of talented players in it. I watch both the GSL and NASL (as much as I can).

I also am unsure why people are saying things like:
It's ridiculous to try to guess who's going to win a game that was played a week ago, or two or maybe even three.

Has something changed? I thought it was a day or two, not weeks. At least last I heard.

I'm fine with it, more bets is better imo, but they could of chose a better tournament for sure. MLG is too hectic and weird too follow (I feel at least). I think maybe it has something to do with having tournaments that aren't 1 day-weekend events as LB's? That would explain why they haven't done it for any MLG or Dreamhack event so far. But i'm not sure.

for invite events like asus rog, or Dreamhack 8 man invitationals though I feel could be cool to have LB's for, as it's a very small set of matches. Have each match give 2 points in the ro8, and increase it as the invite goes?

I don't see why not. It's got the same calibre of Korean/Int'l players in it, and it's thoroughly enjoyable.

You ever heard of VODs? :D

And also, that goes to show that the GSL atleast is deserving of being on liquibets. Great production, greater players.

Lol this is so retarded.. ideally you would have a change to bet in all tournaments but saying NASL needs to be removed it's just silly.

If you don't like it don't vote on it..

They are dine weeks in advance this season. That's the biggest problem with nasl and liquidbet. The games are just old so its hard to accurately judge those games.
