Hi there dear TL! I just came home from attending the first BarCraft of my life, and also the first BarCraft in my city, and let me tell you, IT WAS FUCKING AMAZING!
I live in one of the bigger cities in Sweden (Uppsala) but unfortunately StarCraft II has yet to really break through as something ''natural''. Therefore, I didn't really have any high expectations before tonight, perhaps 10-20 people quietly sipping on a few beers, a couple of cheers from time to time, nothing special.
But as the day/night progressed I saw something beautiful, over a 120 people cheering their asses of for their favorite players, (in our case, Thorzain <3 ), chunking beers with friends and perhaps even enjoy one of the many creative drinks the bar had in store(more about this further down).
Now to the point, I've seen quite a few BarCraft threads here at TL, but I have yet to see a BarCraft thread which is truly global.
Reaching out to the masses of awesome nerds around the world can be pretty tough, and keeping track of BarCrafts can be pretty hard, so wouldn't it be great to have one thread where all the upcoming BarCrafts around the world could be posted?
For example, if you've heard rumors about there being a BarCraft event in New York at, for example reddit, you could simply PM me or post in this thread explaining where the event takes place, and what date/time. I would then update the OP and put all that information under a specific headline called: BarCraft New York, and that post could in turn be updated with photos etc.
TL:DR : Post the time and place of any BarCraft event that you are aware of and help spread the joy of StarCraft around the world! 
So post here and enlighten your fellow nerds about the awesome events taking place around the world!

Similar reports from Trondheim, Norway. 95 people were present during the finals of our local BarCraft. AMAZING! :D

I've seen that thread before, but I figured it was soley for NA, not EU? Perhaps changing'' truly global'' to ''truly European'' would be more fitting then?

Umm, don't think so. The OP did want a thread about BarCraft on a global perspective, not just about NA.
Great initiative, would be fun to see pictures from around the world!

@ Roberi, nice to have you here, I love Thorzain <3 Regarding the other thread, yes the intention with this thread would be to spread the word of BarCraft, globally, not regionally.

That's great to hear! I'm pretty certain that the bar had quite a few more guests than usual, so it's a win-win from both perspectives :D

Ye I think they did...  You should try talking to local pubs/restaurants, in our case I'm pretty sure they made quite a bit of money, tho they would've gained like 10x the amount if the terran play woulde've won

This thread seems like a good idea though, at least if someone was traveling it'd be nice to know if there was a BarCraft™ to attend while they were abroad.

If it just catches on it would be great, it could act as some sort of archive. Would be sweet to see pictures from BarCrafts around the world Perhaps this post belongs under '' TL Community''? Could a mod please move it?

Ok, I just don't see the need for a second thread, because the first one is already global, not regional... They do talk about Barcraft London, which was the only Barcraft outside of America the last time the OP was updated. If you add the information and pictures about your barcraft to that thread, it will probably be updated shortly.

That thread hasn't been updated in three weeks, and the only mention about London is ''London will be tuning in all three days'' regarding MLG Raleigh Seems like a great OP, but at the pace SC2 is growing, posts needs to be updated regulary to be relevant During Valencia Invitational, Sweden hosted six BarCrafts, which is pretty huge :D Hopefully BarCraft will continue to spread itself around Europe . NA seems to have done a really good job with that, it seems huge over there!

Sadly there was no Barcrafting going on in southern Sweden (as far as I know), but if anyone here knows about a planned barcraft here, please tell me!

I attended the same one as the OP, in Uppsala. Was a bit worried not enough people would show up - no need to worry next time .
