Since this whole topic degenerated into the usual balance flamefest where every topic ends up if unmoderated it's time for it to clean up. Locking this down for a while. Any posts made after my post [page 233] not addressing the changes in this patch directly and containting flames or general balance whine will get banned for at least a week. ~Nyovne

great hope it will come sone... dont know abouth siker misles....raven baff... it will do mass AOE dps... so i dont know is that good becous terrans are already wery powerfull...

Who cares if proxy gates become stronger, if they're enough of a threat you're just forced to scout for them. I think some people don't want them to be viable at all.

How will this affect PvP? Blink openings now suck. Immortals are amazing. Ramp thing might affect 4 gate. Are they making 3 gate robo into 1 base colossus the standard? That will make the matchup even more boring than it is now. PvP turtle games are the worst, because it is nigh impossible to scout the opposing composition. Its just random turtling, getting random upgrades with random expansion timings.

Nice to see the Overseer cost being reduced to something not completely stupid, but I think Blizzard is being too cautious on the Contaminate cost increase. I don't think you'll suddently see Overseer Contaminate squads as they'll still die very quickly, so while I can understand increasing the energy cost, I think 100 rather than 125 may be a better number for an ability that is generally never used as it is.

The rest of the changes, especially the Warp Prism shields seem very cool, not sure how the speed of the Seeker Missile will play out yet, slightly worrying because of the damage it puts out but I imagine it'll just require a real micro response to combat it, which seems fine to me.

Thus far, I'm looking forward to the patch.

I don't really like the ultra buff, zerg was already really strong late game (against terran especially) but now it'll be just impossible for terran late game, and they also nerf early game agression, why ? :/

Hmm,I have a huge question mark over this massive speed buff to HSM.I'm really not sure what to think about it.We are here now cracking jokes about it but i seriously think HSM could become a something like a mini nuke that will never miss(the thing does 100 damage instantly,more than a full psy storm).:/ The reason why I'm not sure if the HSM is really that good is because it does splash damage in a radius of 2,which is a relative short radius,but if someone goes on and masses ravens it will be a different story I guess we will just have to wait and see.

About time they did something good. Won't really change 1/1/1 at the pro level but still a step in the right direction. Immortal buff is huge against mass roaches, fungal nerf is ok and warp prisms will be decent now.

Oh BFH nerf is also awesome for zergs xD

HSM being rage 6 is the reason it's not being used imho, very hard to deploy and survive :/

I think we have all learned both from WoW and SC2 and blizzard will never successfully foster a thriving esports community. They make too many changes too fast on a whim.

Look at WoW for example. Every patch, they change skills or strategies, sometimes drastically. It simply becomes no fun to look for alternative strategies or paths because you know blizzard will nerf it some way or some how.

Well, fungal got nerfed in return. Ultra is only really scary with infestor support, so it should even itself out.

What does the acceleration mean exactly? I know that the mothership starts slow then gets slightly less so, does that just mean that it gets less slow faster or does it actually move faster? I can't see the blink change staying the same, maybe 120 seconds, because it has no affect on anything besides PvP because +2 7gate blink has blink finish early.

I doubt we will see any kind of ravens with HSM in TvZ due to infestors.
Maybe you might get few HSM out before zerg has neural parasite, but as soon as they get it prepare to loose a lot of your own units when those ravens start landing HSM into your army, due the fact that HSM still has 6 casting range and neural parasite has 9.
