I guess it's the best way to make sure that each player gets to play each map a roughly equal amount of times, but I don't think that really adds any "fairness" or anything, since not everyone plays the same race match-ups anyway. And even if you have to enforce this (each column of the little map table must have each of the 9 map groups appearing once), they could at least mix up the order a little so map group F shows up before week 5.

Is there a good reason for why the map pool for all the matches on any given day should be the same? From a spectator point of view, it seems like it would be a bad thing since you're going to repeatedly see the same maps despite the large map pool. Well I guess for new spectators who don´t know much about sc it´s much more easy to get into it if you see the same 3 maps for 5 matchups instead of 9 maps. If like it much more if the same maps are played, it´s more simple to compare the matches. Keep in mind it´s also ment for "noobs" (in no way a bad meaning). Don´t know about it, but KR-Eu seems unplayable. I guess for fair conditions everyone has to play on US, so everyone can prepare for lag. Jinro made a good post about that here

From a spectator point of view, it seems like it would be a bad thing since you're going to repeatedly see the same maps despite the large map pool. For example, in day 1, we only get to see people play on terminus, crossfire, and backwater. Xel'naga caverns doesn't show up at all until week 3, at which point crevasse goes on a 2-week hiatus... I kind of agree with you, but they need a way to structure the tournament in as fair a way as possible. Also, on day 1 there are 5 games, 1 from each division, so we will see 5 matches (bo3), and they will go through maps A through G potentially over the course of the games. We're guaranteed to see 6 different maps played in one night. However, the point about XNC and Crevasse being on hiatus is accurate and that is a little disappointing to me, but it could just as easily have been a random pool selection and every match is played on the same 3 maps by sheer dumb luck. The way NASL is structured is to give the most diverse experience to the viewer. The divisions are set up to each have a couple koreans, a nice mix of races for good matchups and a different map sequence to keep things fresh.

But what is the format of the re-qualifying tournament for the bottom 16? Will it be bracketed, a round robin or something else?

Date: 4/8/11 06:02 Hey, we were originally debating whether or not to release replays to our paid subscribers, but we're not going to be able to do that. We're going to be doing something more creative with our replays that we think the community will enjoy! Thanks for the fast answer Xeris, I´m very curious ![]() Thanks to all your replies, much appreciated and saved me a good 20$. I guess that means I will not be able to watch any games from NASL unless they change their minds. Heres a screenshot of the old website information for anyone that was interested. + Show Spoiler + ![]() Thanks

April 2011 03:34:16 via Twitter for iPad als Antwort auf notlobot But since Xeris answer was more up to date I didn´t quote that. Must have been a late decision, good that you asked they shoud have updated the FAQ. But why now no ticket? Do you just watch replays normaly and no vods? I will not buy a ticket because of no paypal yet and I don´t have a good Inet connection, hopefully LQ runs smooth. Since I watch commercials then I don´t have a bad conscience for "not supporting e-sports" ![]()
