A GUN THREAD I MUST RAGE. GRRR. Have you people not heard of gun safes? While not 100% secure (nothing is), it's not like we've got AK's and Shotguns and HPR laying around our living room. Hahaha. I think you give licensed owners too little credit. Besides, don't stereotype us...we're not all "Kill all sons of bitches" kind of people. Do some people fuck up with guns? Yeah. Does that make us all horrible people? No. Go make a guns debate thread if you're gonna bring that crap here. This is our thread to enjoy and brag and gawk at everyone else's toys. Alright, bad day at work rant done. On topic! I'm at a hotel right now far away from home so I'll just have to google photos. if I remember, I'll take pictures at home! ![]() Story time! My Grandfather (like many of ours!) served in World War 2, and brought back a ton of souvenirs that I inherited. And Love, I'm a huge WW2 nut. I love everything WW2 related from pre-war things to conspiracy theories. Interesting note here (I had a historian talk to me about it!) that when soldiers brought things back from Europe, the customs had to go through and do things like de-brand the weapons, and that sort of thing. Somehow my grandfather smuggled this through and they didn't reforge the barrel to take off the Eagle+Swastika branded in the barrel. My father never showed me it when I was younger and the thing is in pristine condition. It's awesome. Same with the P38 AC 43 ![]() I practically have a full uniform too...Kinda funny when making first impressions...if I leave my closet in my basement open there's like a full SS uniform down there and everyone is like...the fuck? Haha. ![]() This was my grandfather's. Springfield M1C, unfortunately somehow the scope got beat up. Sadface! The sling is in desperate need of attention but...when I feel like it. I don't have any current weapons, really. I'm more into the older stuff. Middle aged stuff in gun years, haha. I'm looking to get a Thompson, been dying to fire me off one of those. Guy at a range in Nevada had one and I was freaking JEALOUS. If I didn't know how 'spencive ammo was I'd have asked to fire off a few rounds. My dream gun that I'll never have... Pancor Jackhammer. Oh man I would just...oh man. I know it's only got a few prototypes ever built but the whole thing is just...oh man, gunboner. BRB.

Picture ![]() I often go target/skeet shooting with my father and he owns a couple of 12 gauge shotguns, a couple of military grade pistols and various rifles all of which I have shot at some time or another. For what I typically do with guns, target shooting, my selection amongst my gun and my father's guns is fine and I don't really need to branch out much. I might in the long term future get my hands on a good long range scoped rifle for some long range target stuff, it really depends on my future funding.

I think I'll probably buy a 1911 at some point. I like the look, customizability and the history of the design on the 1911, and from what I understand it's a solid all-around handgun. I'm a noob when it comes to this stuff though.

The pistol's not bad either, but I'm just sort of amazed you have a pristine kar98k! (Assuming that's what it is tbh. Never actually seen one!)

I got a Taurus .357 revolver (Thank you Brazil) and a S&W 9mm (Thank you USA). I plan on getting a Kahr P9 for concealed carry someday, but not for self defense but for all the geese I see flying over the city. I'd like to take one down and hand it to some homeless guy someday. Blam! Blam! Blam! There ya go mister.

From what I've heard it competes with the AR-15 in performance but it isn't nearly as customizable because the AR-15 is so much more popular. The price should probably be about similar but unfortunately, due to it's low supply, it is quite expensive.

Not sure what joke you were aiming for there.

Not sure what joke you were aiming for there. Because Switzerland doesnt have an army in the traditional definition of the word. Most of the Swiss armed forces is made of conscript citizens who keep their equipment, including weapons, at home.

Was too busy scaring people with my gunboner joke, apparently. ![]() I don't know how they stayed in great condition...I was venturing around in my basement one night and found these weird...things wrapped up in twine and tons of paper/tarps and stuff. Opened them up thinking "what the F is this" and it was all the above. Most of them were disassembled, I had to put a few parts back together, save the pistol obviously, but I was flipping out. I finally went and got the story from my dad, apparently he had them for years and I just managed to be "storage" for them. Haha.
